you get what you get you cannot change the thickness of your hair. you can make it LOOK thicker. But the stuff that does this sticks onto the hair shaft. not good for buildup on your scalp but here goes. and Id suggest washing it every night if you use theses "thickeners"

1. Choose a body-building shampoo and conditioner. Remember to use a light conditioner, though - heavy conditioners can make hair go flat.

2. Look for the following in the ingredients: proteins (keratin and collagen), silicone polymers or polymeric quaternium compounds. These compounds stick to the hair shaft and make your hair appear thicker.

3. Purchase a styling product such as mousse, gel or hairspray.

4. Put a small amount of the product in your hands and rub them together.

5. Run your fingers through your hair and rub the product into your roots.

6. Lift and "scrunch" your hair (that is, squeeze it in the palms of your hands from the ends of the hair to the roots).

7. Let your hair air-dry, or blow-dry it using a dryer with a diffuser attachment. Also, try blowing it dry with your head upside down

not to be offensive but if you're white, i really dont have a clue. my mom (that's white) has really thin hair and nothing helps her.

mine is really thin in the top (i'm biracial) and it thickened up and became REAL healthy when i went completely natural. no chemicals or dyes. no other supposed thickening conditioners and all that did a thing.

I you have never had thick hair , then it will never be thick unless genetics allow changes as you age. Some hair may turn colors and density andtexture. I you have lost hair due to stress or illness talk to your dermatologist or doctor. Use Nioxin

Aloe vera makes the hair thick, its fibers strong and resistant. It adds body and shine without harmful chemicals. Aloe and jojoba let the pores breathe. Mix a few drops each of jojoba and aloe gel, and lightly massage them into your scalp and hair daily.

I heard Horse Shampoo helps hair become thick, seriously. This is no joke search it on these boards and others say the same thing.

Flax seed is supposed to be good for growing more hair. My mother was on this for the last year of her life, because her cancer was making her hair fall out. It started to grow back in before she died, but what was really amazing was that it was turning from grey back to dark brown.

My daughter, who has not much hair was on flax seed as well for a year before her heart surgery. It thickened it up and made her hair healthier. She had never been able to grow long hair before using it, and now her hair is down past her bra strap.

I've heard that Rogaine actually works as well. Can be used by either men or women. Of course, it will be more expensive than the flax seed. You would have to look that up on the internet for availability in your area.

You can either eat the flax seed as an addition to cereals, or get a flax seed oil supplement. Both work equally well. The pills should be available from a pharmacy.

All you can do is use products to help your hair appear thicker. The best shampoo %26amp; conditioner is Amplify by Matrix. When your hair is damp, put in Redken thickening lotion, then blow dry %26amp; style. If you curl your hair or get a perm, that will also help it appear thicker - but get a loose perm, not a tight one. And keep your hair somewhat short with layers. All this will give the illusion of thicker hair, straight flat (no layers) hair makes thin hair hard to hide.
