Well what area are you talking about? Neck? Bikini? what? What about waxing? Or an Epilady. I have an Epilady but they are very painful until you get use to it. It's kind of like waxing in the fact that it rips the hair right off of you. Only less mess.

My guy uses this product called Magic Powder, you can get it at Walgreens. You mix it with water and put it on, let it sit for 5 minutes or so, and 'scrape' it off with an old credit card. According to him it works great, is gentle, and last about 3 days. Sounds like a winner to me!Try it, good luck....
