I have wavy extremely thick hair. In high school i didn't know what a straightner was i got it chopped to my shoulders it tourned out horrible! It looked like a huge triangle! But after i got married I cut it back to my shoulders, i only got it cut that short because i had a Remmington wet 2 straight straightner. I would have never done it other wise. If you don't want to straighten your hair i suggest the longer the better, because it will weigh your waves down and instead of looking so thick and wavy it will gradually slowly straighten them a little.
