What can I do to treat my thick, poofy hair without using a straightener?

I have medium-short hair that is extremely poofy no matter how I dry it. I have been using a straightener, and it works for the most part, but I'm beginning to become weary of using it. Is there any other way I can straighten it?

if you aren't opposed to relaxing your hair, that would be your best bet. then you wouldn't have to flat iron every day.

I have the same problem

I know the hair type. I have natural curly hair that i keep the longest length i can just to add weight to it, helps pull the curl out some. I wash and condition really good and while its still wet i use a product called Pink. I added a link for the product page. I get it at my local dollar general store in the "ethnic" hair product section.

Its just a misty kinda spray and i get it all over really good after its towel dried then brush it out. Typically i dont have to do much else to it unless i start to get the high humidity poof. Then i just run a straitening iron through it.

Simple
