I have very thick, wavy hair. If I get a straight perm, will i have to blow dry it to keep it smooth

Or can I just wash and let it dry naturally and it will be straight and smooth?

I have very thick, wavy hair. If I get a straight perm, will i have to blow dry it to keep it smooth?

More than likely you will still have to blowdry, to make it look smooth and straight. You may also have a new problem...frizz. I would think twice about getting a straight perm

I have very thick, wavy hair. If I get a straight perm, will i have to blow dry it to keep it smooth?

if you get a perm then you can do either because the perm has done all of the work.

I have very thick, wavy hair. If I get a straight perm, will i have to blow dry it to keep it smooth?

You can blow dry it, or use a flat iron after it dries. Try uses that new straightening looks shampoo and conditioner. I don't know the name, it's on a commercial. This will help some. Or just try any conditioner, if you plan on flat ironing. Also use some got to be serum to make it smooth.

I have very thick, wavy hair. If I get a straight perm, will i have to blow dry it to keep it smooth?

use herbal shampoo

I have very thick, wavy hair. If I get a straight perm, will i have to blow dry it to keep it smooth?

One, I am a cosmetologist, and I have NEVER heard of a "straight perm". All I know if is a relaxer where the hair is made straight using a harsh thioglycolate chemical. If that is what you are referring to, DO NOT DO IT! Unless your hair is VERY curly, it does not need relaxed. My recommendation, invest in a quality blow dryer, large ceramic round brush and an expensive flat iron. It will take some time to get the curl out of your hair, but you should be able to then get a couple of days out of it. Also, try the Paul Mitchell Super Skinny line of products. They actually make the hair strand smaller therefore your hair is not as bulky. The Super Skinny Serum will cut your blow drying time by at least half. Would you rather spend a nice chunk of change on better products, or run the risk of your hair literally melting off of your head with a relaxer? Something to think about!

Are thick chunky hair highlights still in style?

no....... now tha style is thin highlights

Are thick chunky hair highlights still in style?

no

Are thick chunky hair highlights still in style?

NO. They look unnatural and weird. If you want highlights, get a weave that looks natural and nice.

Are thick chunky hair highlights still in style?

hell,no that was in 2004

Are thick chunky hair highlights still in style?

Only if you want to show up a specific area of your face or hair. other than that they just end up looking tacky and when its time to do over the color it look horrible as the highlights are chunkier!

Are thick chunky hair highlights still in style?

No WAY!

Are thick chunky hair highlights still in style?

eww no, they look trashy

Are thick chunky hair highlights still in style?

i dont like them and you will get bad regrowth which doesnt look very good i suggest you go for a higher amount of thinner ones and i would only go a few shades lighter not like blonde or nething if you have dark hair already

What do I do with thick straight poofy frizzy hair?

Here is my advice as a hair stylist.

#1. Get your ends trimmed reg...

2. Use a good product line such as Matrix Sleek Look. Shampoo.. Cond... Extreme Styling Cream....And Gloss.

Or try Kenra.. they just came out with some great products for your hair!!

These products are a little pricy , but they are worth every penny.

Also, if you can, invest in a great pro grade flat iron, Like a CHI. I live by mine in the salon.

you need to buy a straightener thts 120$ from a hsir magazine! Report It

What do I do with thick straight poofy frizzy hair?

Pantene works great!

What do I do with thick straight poofy frizzy hair?

When drying your hair use a defusser hair dryer and don't dry it upside down, that will give your hair more volume to your hair which is not needed. You should use a shampoo that will relax your hair, a great shampoo is Pureology, which you can get at any hair salon, or Redeken, which offers great hair styling products as well.

What do I do with thick straight poofy frizzy hair?

there are a lot of shampoo's and conditioners on the market for frizzes and a lot of other products too. personally i would suggest a line by jheri redding and get a good ceramic flat iron.

Try a perm.

I have fine thick straight hair and I love curling it but it goes flat like 10 minutes after it is curled HELP

Wash and towel dry hair, add mousse, curl using medium size curlers, let dry over night, take curlers out, style, spray (suave for 99 cents, superhold), go !

I have fine thick straight hair and I love curling it but it goes flat like 10 minutes after it is curled HELP

a perm "chemically curl"

or spritz your hair and then apply heat

I have fine thick straight hair and I love curling it but it goes flat like 10 minutes after it is curled HELP

It's probably falling flat because it's not being set with enough heat. It sounds strange but I curl my hair with my hair straightner. It gets hotter than any curlers or curling iron out there and I just twist it at the ends to curl it all up.

I have fine thick straight hair and I love curling it but it goes flat like 10 minutes after it is curled HELP

Try a styling gel on it.

I have fine thick straight hair and I love curling it but it goes flat like 10 minutes after it is curled HELP

You have a couple of options. The first may be convenient in a pinch, but won't last as long as #2

#1

-Wash your hair %26amp; put a product in while still wet that will help shape it. (mousse, gel, silicone, etc.)

-dry it until it is damp, not too wet %26amp; not dry.

-get a set of hot rollers (these usually cost around 20 bucks). You should begin heating these while you're washing your hair.

-Immediately put the rollers in your hair. Remember the bigger the curl/wave the bigger the roller. If you want tight springy small curls, use smaller rollers.

-Spray hair with hairspray while waiting.

-After they've been in long enough for your hair to have dried, remove the rollers.

-Give your hair another quick spray %26amp; you're done.

#2

-For a longer lasting curl wash hair before you go to bed %26amp; add product.

-take rags (cut up fabric, thin socks, etc.) Wrap your still damp hair around the rag, roll up to the top of your head %26amp; tie in a knot.

-Do this all over your head with as many rags as you need.

-Go to bed with a towel under your head (or else you'll have a wet pillow)

-When you wake up the next day check if your hair is still wet. If it is then blow dry it the rest of the way dry.

-remove rags.

-You should have curls that last a while.

I have fine thick straight hair and I love curling it but it goes flat like 10 minutes after it is curled HELP

you should try the Got2b Glued Spiking Freeze Spray

it's a really strong product. i tried it cause i also have thick hair and it helps my hair to stay the way how i want it to be. you should test it out if it's for you. you could get it at any local store like wal mart,walgreens,....depends on the store though.

Whats the best way to get pretty curly hair for thick brown hair?

big hot rollers.

Whats the best way to get pretty curly hair for thick brown hair?

You could either get a perm or you could curl it with a curling iron. But if your hair is already wavy just buy shampoo and conditioner for curly hair and then get a mouse or jell or curl lotion depending on your type of hair and scrunch it up. It won't be as curly as a perm but it will be curlier than usual!

Whats the best way to get pretty curly hair for thick brown hair?

I have the same type of hair. I either use:

a) hot rollers (they are pretty nice)

b) a corioliss straightener (if you twist the hair and straightener a certain way it makes really gorgeous curls. THis is my first choice)

c) just some rollers (they work pretty well for me)

Hope this helps!

Whats the best way to get pretty curly hair for thick brown hair?

I have thick brown hair too ! I always use my straightener to curl my hair. It is defiantly a lot quicker then actually using a curling iron.

Take a piece of hair (depending on how big or little you want the curls) and hold your straightener upright. Turn the straightener whichever way you want the curl to flow, then pull the straightener outwards. If you want less of a curl, pull down and out at the same time.

CAN SHORT THIN HAIR GROW LONG AND THICK?

My hair is currently very thin and not that long. But with the right treatments, can my hair every get thicker and longer??

CAN SHORT THIN HAIR GROW LONG AND THICK?

Don't worry if you take good care of your hair and don't beglect it it will be long and thick!! It will look so nice and you will look so pretty! Just wash it on a regular and take good care of your hair it should be back by this time next year!

CAN SHORT THIN HAIR GROW LONG AND THICK?

Yes, it can be. The biggest problem with thin hair is it breaks easy and there's no way to fix it other than let it grow back. So, try not use ponytail holders and complicated clips that will pull at your hair.

Also buy a good shampoo and conditioner that prevents against breakage and frizzy fly aways.

You could also do a deep condition once every week or two to keep hair nice and healthy.

And, last but not least brush your hair every night ( after it's dry). By stimulating the roots of your hair and scalp you increase blood flow and therefore increase hair growth.

CAN SHORT THIN HAIR GROW LONG AND THICK?

well when people who lik eshave their heads or get ancer and looose their hair it grows back thicker and darker. NO dont shave your head i was kidding but try asking your hair dresser and then see what he/she says. Also there are special shampoos that give you volume and is a body builder. Try i think The Body Shop. They have this kind of shampoo i think. Try looking around.

My hair is wayyyyyy too thick! What can i do about it??

Its thick and frizzy and probably the worst hair in the world! Does anyone have any suggestions??

My hair is wayyyyyy too thick! What can i do about it??

Get layers. If you don't really want a layered look, you can get upside down layers. You flip your hair upside down and they cut it like that so the layers are underneath your hair. My daughter has very thick hair and that works for her and looks great too.

My hair is wayyyyyy too thick! What can i do about it??

I have VERY thick hair myself. Get some layers to take out some of the bulk. It works wonders.

My hair is wayyyyyy too thick! What can i do about it??

go to the hair loom at 51st and memorial and ask tracy to thin it out and work her magic

My hair is wayyyyyy too thick! What can i do about it??

Go to your local haircutters (a good one), and have them look at your hair. They can advise you...........probably a light straightner to relax the frizz, and then, possibly they can thinnen your hair's layers and give you a good cut to go with it! ROTS O RUCK!!!!

My hair is wayyyyyy too thick! What can i do about it??

I have the same problems and here's what I have done: layers help tremendously!! and use a smoothing cream if you want to go straight. I use the smoothing cream by Herbal Essence and it is great. It doesn't make your hair greasy. Then use a curling iron to straighten your hair. It works best if you do it in small sections. If you want to go curly use their gel. It also works great. I personally am sold on Herbal Essence products. They have always worked great for me.

My hair is wayyyyyy too thick! What can i do about it??

go to the hair salon and ask them to thin it out they will take these odd looking scissors and thin it out for you

My hair is wayyyyyy too thick! What can i do about it??

A nice cut helps.

Highlights also makes hair thinner.

My hair is wayyyyyy too thick! What can i do about it??

Go to a salon and have the stylist thin it out a bit for you.

My hair is wayyyyyy too thick! What can i do about it??

shave it off

My hair is wayyyyyy too thick! What can i do about it??

Splurge And go to a high end beauty salon. (just once if you don't normally go to ones as they are much more expensive)..but tell them you want someone who has been there awhile..a master cutter..not a junior one who is still learning. Explain to the stylist what you want..etc...the stylist will be able to in return give suggestion, or even let you know if the type of hair you have will work for what you want. It will be $$$, but..if you do this once..then you can go to your normal stlysit..and have them basically do what you just had done. Also, the type of products you use makes a big difference. The stylist would be able to recommend some excellent products for you to use...Good luck with whatever advice you choose to use..:-)

My hair is wayyyyyy too thick! What can i do about it??

Simple answer. Go to the salon and ask them to thin it. :)

My hair is wayyyyyy too thick! What can i do about it??

You could do layers. You might regret it if you have it thinned with thinning shears. I've heard to many horror stories about thinning shears.

What can i do with my thick, long, curly hair?

i'm of mixed descent, too. I like the Tigi Bead Head products. The Control Freak Shampoo and Conditioner are really awesome when I want to go straight. The Frizz control (it's like gel) works great if I want to go straight or curly. And if I want mega control on my curls, I use the Power trip hair gel. The great thing about these products is that they aren't just sold in salons anymore; I can buy them at Target.

Do I use Spritz or Hair Spray on thick 'n curly hair for flat-ironing?

First of all, I use a ceramic Revlon flat iron, but sometimes I think I might have to buy a more expensive one to get the "stick-straight" hair...

Anyhow, I heard that if you use a hairspray or a spritz before flat-ironing, it makes the straightening last longer and "freezes" it straight.

For my hair type, which do I use? My hair is very thick with very tight curls. I don't want to use a chemical straightening system, because I like to wear my hair curly sometimes.

Please share with me your recommendations or personal experiences. Thanks : )

Do I use Spritz or Hair Spray on thick 'n curly hair for flat-ironing?

if you use spritz that will make your hair hard. And same for hairspray. You'd be better off using hair serum. That protects your hair from heat damage and heat makes hair come out sleekier and shinier.

Do I use Spritz or Hair Spray on thick 'n curly hair for flat-ironing?

use herbal essenses dangerously straight. it works good and it smells good too.

A good depoofer helps a lot. The only real depoofer I can think of is the Sunsilk line - they have a conditioner, a shampoo, and a leave-in cream. They're the ones in blue. The conditioner doesn't work too well, but maybe it just depends on how you use it. Don't know about the shampoo. But the cream works really well! Use it on wet hair, and make sure to cover all the hair, all the way down to the root.

Hope this helped. If not, you should try asking a hair stylist.

Any hair styles for blond, thick, straight hair for teens?

I'm not sure if you meant cut or style as in up do's, I think the best cut to go for is to have layers to thin out your hair a little bit and make it easier to style and give it some life as you say you have straight hair, also feathering around the face is always flattering. (fringes are also big but this depends on your face shape wether it'll suit you or not)

As for styles the french plait is big this season, the quickest way to sass up your hair is with cute grips etc. just have fun, get lots of Kirby grips and pin odd sections of hair back, that's what I call my complicated hair style to my husband, although actually its easier than trying to do something "neat" to me, sorry to go on, hope this helps a little =D

Ok my hair.. is gay just normal thick wavey hair.. i want a hair cut,, hwo should i get it cut..?

I have wavy extremely thick hair. In high school i didn't know what a straightner was i got it chopped to my shoulders it tourned out horrible! It looked like a huge triangle! But after i got married I cut it back to my shoulders, i only got it cut that short because i had a Remmington wet 2 straight straightner. I would have never done it other wise. If you don't want to straighten your hair i suggest the longer the better, because it will weigh your waves down and instead of looking so thick and wavy it will gradually slowly straighten them a little. Good Luck with whatever you decide!

my ex best friend had the same problem. hes hispanic but everybody thought he was half black cuz he hada huge "hispan-afro" so one day he decided to fet a flat iron and straighten it because he was frustrated. turns out some people werent meant to have straight hair. if u have short hair try groing it out. it might look better long. if its long then try cutting it a different way, but if it turns out ugly i didnt tell you to do it. if youre dying to see if it looks better straight though get a friend whose good at doing hair (preferably a girl) to but a temprary straightener on your hair. itll only last for a few weeks so if its ugly you wont have to suffer very long, but if it looks good you can go to a professional and get it permenantly done. all this is assuming youre a guy...cuz of the name fabio...

my ex best friend had the same problem. hes hispanic but everybody thought he was half black cuz he hada huge "hispan-afro" so one day he decided to fet a flat iron and straighten it because he was frustrated. turns out some people werent meant to have straight hair. if u have short hair try groing it out. it might look better long. if its long then try cutting it a different way, but if it turns out ugly i didnt tell you to do it. if youre dying to see if it looks better straight though get a friend whose good at doing hair (preferably a girl) to but a temprary straightener on your hair. itll only last for a few weeks so if its ugly you wont have to suffer very long, but if it looks good you can go to a professional and get it permenantly done. all this is assuming youre a guy...cuz of the name fabio...

I have thick, dry hair. What product will make it straight and fine, Herbal Essences or SunSilk?

If so, which of the different products should I use?

ex. Herbal Essences - Dangerously Straight

I have thick, dry hair. What product will make it straight and fine, Herbal Essences or SunSilk?

There is not a product on the market that will make thick hair fine...If you got a haircut to take some of the bulk off it would look finer, but as far as a shampoo there are none. To make it straight..Rusk makes a shampoo called STR8 it works excellent especially when you combine all the products together (styling and conditioner) After using them apply the styling product generously and blow dry, taking a large barrel curling iron (about 1 1/2'') section your hair and curl it, It will straighten the hair with a bend at the ends....Good Luck

I have thick, dry hair. What product will make it straight and fine, Herbal Essences or SunSilk?

I like Herbal Essences.

What kind of gel should i use to scrunch my hair?? and i have black thick long hair... thats wavy.so

ok.. ive tried to scrunch my hair like thousands of times.. and it never works.. i think its just cus i dont kno how to scrunch and i dont kno which gel or watevr to use so can anyone help me... asap.. so i can scrunch my hair for graduation!! pllzz and thankya!!

What kind of gel should i use to scrunch my hair?? and i have black thick long hair... thats wavy.so tell me?

i would say don't use gel, it weighs down your hair, hardens it, and makes it look greasy. after you shower use a volumizing mousse or sculpting foam and scrunch it through.

What kind of gel should i use to scrunch my hair?? and i have black thick long hair... thats wavy.so tell me?

I have long black wavy hair too, and I usually use Shock Waves by Wella...but there are a lot of good styling gels out there to choose from...good luck.

What kind of gel should i use to scrunch my hair?? and i have black thick long hair... thats wavy.so tell me?

actually gel always weighs down my hair, i prefer mouse its light and a little more sticky for a nice hold. Also do it when its damp so there is more bounce. if its to wet it will pull straight do to the water weight. I always top it of with hairspray to make it so it doesn't get frizzy. I hope this works and congratz on the graduation!!

What kind of gel should i use to scrunch my hair?? and i have black thick long hair... thats wavy.so tell me?

hey girl... try this...

what i do is i buy gel that says "for curly hair" (or something like that) on the label. and get some sort of shine stuff (not sure what its called but its kind of like oil)

when you get out of the shower and towel dry your hair. then scrunch the gel into your hair and then scrunch the shine stuff in your hair. then use a diffuser (an attachment that you put on your blow dryer) to blow dry your hair. the diffuser makes your hair curly without making it frizzy and huge.

then when its dry take a little bit of the oil and scrunch that into your hair. what that will do is kind soften the crunchiness of the gel so that your hair doesn't look wet... it looks curly and natural.

haha it sounds like a lot when you read this... but its really fast and super easy! i do it every morning :)

oh... and if you don't have a diffuser you can buy one at a beauty supply store like sally's or you can get one cheap at walmart!

What kind of gel should i use to scrunch my hair?? and i have black thick long hair... thats wavy.so tell me?

I scunch my hair alot and I have very thick hair like yourself ~ all I use is really any type of gel you can find. Right now Im using this cheap kind of get I found but its orange and it comes in a big bottle and you push it out like you would lotion ~ it has the same kind of lid that lotion does.

But then after I take a shower I will brush my hair out and then take the gel and just put it all over my hair and scrunch it in ~ I usually have to use quite a bit because of the thickness of my hair.

But then after that I take Aussie Sprunch Spray ~ it comes in a purple bottle and says SPRUNCH in big letters ~ and I just spray that all over my hair and sprunch it some more. (You could use other spray but I have tried alot of differenct ones and I have found that one to be the best)

You can let it air dry but usually I then take a blow dryer and dry it ~ upside down works too!

Well I hope I helped you and Good Luck ~ and Congrats on Graduation!

What kind of gel should i use to scrunch my hair?? and i have black thick long hair... thats wavy.so tell me?

Use L.A. Looks gel, it's lightweight as long as you don't use to much! try the green kind or the yellow kind, if you want longer hold go for the yellow. make sure NOT to play with your hair, cause that will make it come undone. then use a good amount of hairspray everywhere, preferably herbal essense type. Congrats on graduation!

What kind of gel should i use to scrunch my hair?? and i have black thick long hair... thats wavy.so tell me?

Try moose instead..it works great VO5 Extra Body Styling Mousse, firstly use your straighteners to make loose waves, then use the moose to scrunch your hair with, then spray some hairspray to give it a firm hold! Hope it works well on you as what it does for me because I've got the same hair as you!

What kind of gel should i use to scrunch my hair?? and i have black thick long hair... thats wavy.so tell me?

I have the same sort of hair try a moose or any product the above has mentioned as long as its watery based feels a lot better Have a good graduation

What kind of gel should i use to scrunch my hair?? and i have black thick long hair... thats wavy.so tell me?

Hi Pinky, I have been scrunching my hair for 20 years,my hairs like yours. The most important thing to have as well as the product is a diffuser on your hair dryer. When you've sprayed the product on your hair, scrunch it and scoop abit at a time into the diffuser, tip your head upside down while doing this and dry the hair.

How many atoms thick is the average human hair?

I guess the question is pretty self-explanatory, but here's some backstory if anyone cares:

A while back in high school, I joked that if everyone on Earth was an atom thick (a group of us was hanging out with this cool physics teacher after school, and we were talking about the effects of a black hole on a person), that we would all have to 'come together' to form the thickness of a human hair. Today, I suddenly remembered that, and now I'd like to know if I was totally off, or if I was actually close.

How many atoms thick is the average human hair?

Human hair is about 70 micrometer thick.

Diameters of atoms are 0.1-0.5 nm

I will use diameter of carbon atom, since

we are carbon-based life:

Diamter of carbon atom is 0.22 nm

Thus hair is 70 micrometers/ 0.22nm = 300,000 atoms thick

How many atoms thick is the average human hair?

there are approximately 4.543 X 10^55 atoms in a human hair.

The hair is made up of diCalcium PentafFlouride TetraHydrate

I have naturaly curly thick indian hair, would hair relaxer be to strong?

I have the same exact hair and relaxer would definitely be too strong. Rubbing oil in your hair would be good.

I have naturaly curly thick indian hair, would hair relaxer be to strong?

i think so

I have naturaly curly thick indian hair, would hair relaxer be to strong?

well, I have naturally staright thick indian hair, but I use hot oil every once in a while...you should try that!

I have naturaly curly thick indian hair, would hair relaxer be to strong?

I have curly indian hair too. If you get a relaxer, make sure that its soft or mild.

I have naturaly curly thick indian hair, would hair relaxer be to strong?

Yes but there are other methods of straightening your hair Such as Japanese hair straightening.

I have long thick wavy hair, i want to cut it really short, any suggestions?

First, I would suggest trying it at different lengths; say cut it about two inches below your shoulder and go shorter from there. DON'T just go and get it cut short on a whim, I did that, and well, let's just say I hope none of my prom pictures end up in the year book...

Second, I would have to emphasize heavily layering it, and/or thinning it out. It will make it alot more manageable. Also, investing in a flat iron would not be a bad move, I find when I straighten my hair it looks better and even if it curls up a bit due to heat and humidity, it's still a very easy look to wear.

I'm not going to tell you shouldn't do this, but I do urge caution, think through every thing.

Hope this helps a bit!

;-)

I have long thick wavy hair, i want to cut it really short, any suggestions?

DON'T DO IT!!!! IT WILL GET REALLY POOFY!!!!!!!!

I have long thick wavy hair, i want to cut it really short, any suggestions?

Have it thinned out,

straighten it alot.

Dye it blonde makes it look thinner.

I have long thick wavy hair, i want to cut it really short, any suggestions?

I would suggest cutting it short one step at a time. cuz it might get REALLY puffy and hard to handle if it's really short.

I have long thick wavy hair, i want to cut it really short, any suggestions?

well bad idea. really bad. you have my hair type. i keep mine nice and long to weigh it down so its not as thick or wavyu and ppofy. cutting it short its gunna make it pop out and look terible. wasier to managae but will get thicker and thicker the shorter you go. good luck

I have long thick wavy hair, i want to cut it really short, any suggestions?

i have a friend who did that, if you are going to do that, it might go really thick, poofy, and maybe greasy,

if you are goinmg to STRAIGHTENING IT WOULD BE SMART!

I have long thick wavy hair, i want to cut it really short, any suggestions?

I don't thik that's a good idea. My hair is curly, so I don't know if it'll do the same thing, but I had my hair cut short %26amp; it was AWFUL. It poofed up really bad, and I could't pull it back or anything.

I suggest getting your hair thinned, or get long layers.

I have long thick wavy hair, i want to cut it really short, any suggestions?

Oh crap, I am going to say don't do it too... I have the same type of hair and it took forever to grow it back. When it got cut it looked really good at the salon, but then it became unmanageable. I tried everything. Maybe if it's wavy, get a perm to get more curl and cut it to just below the ear??? well that's what I ended up doing. GOOD LUCK TO YOU. :)

I have long thick wavy hair, i want to cut it really short, any suggestions?

I would not cut it unless you are going to get it thinned out as well. If you cut it short, your hair will poof out and become uncontrolable. I would leave it longer. Otherwise talk to your hairdresser to see how short she thinks that you can go with out getting a mess.

I have long thick wavy hair, i want to cut it really short, any suggestions?

Dont do that if you want to save your image. It will stick out and look like a triangle.

I have long thick wavy hair, i want to cut it really short, any suggestions?

that will be waste=} but if u want i tht u can straighten ur hair and cut like rihana hait style...if not u can also take alook at cyndi hair style...if not u can also ask ur hair stylist..or u can try sg website at 88db..they gt few recommended hair salons...if not u can just stick to ur hairstylist...

Hairstyles for thick hair

I have thick curly hair.I sometimes would like to straighten it and am looking for a really good str

pick a straightener with plates that are ceramic, and not metal. Ceramic is good in sealing moisture and the natural oils in the hair. It is also good for fighting off frizz. One good brand is Revlon. :)

Hope that has been of help! :)

For Frizzy hair.. these ussually work really good.. and i have some more tips at the bottom.. which are great for healthy hair... so good luck!

- Anything from the brand FrizzEase works preety awesome. So does Infusium 23 shampoos.

*Hair still frizzy? Take a curling iron to the top layers. It will only take a second, and the heat will zap the frizz out.

*1 advacado, and 1 tsp. Olive Oil. Mash the advacado, and add the olive oil. Mix. massage into hair, leave in for 20 minutes. Wash hair as you normally would. You can double this 'recipe' if your hair is exceptionally thick or long.

* Mayonnaise. Yeah, sounds pretty gross.. But it will make your hair smooth and soft. Apply it to hair, leave it in for 10-15 minutes Rinse out, wash hair as you normally would.

Washing your hair everyday damages your hair.. read on more tips below!

Tips To Stop Hair Loss %26amp; Keep Healthy Hair Here are some hair care tips that you can use to help stop hair loss and keep your existing hair healthy and looking great. Please don't take these tips lightly. They are very important . The only thing they require is your time and commitment.

- Massage your scalp with your fingertips (not your nails) daily to stimulate and promote circulation to your scalp and reduce excess fallout. Invert your head while you shampoo %26amp; massage your scalp. This helps promote blood circulation to the head.

- Essential oils %26amp; tea . To stimulate scalp circulation, massage the scalp with rosemary essential oil or rinse hair with tea made from sage.

- Comb or brush your hair and scalp gently in the morning and at night. This helps break up hardened oils (sebum) that are clogging your hair follicles. Doing this alone has produced new hair growth. Do not over do combing or brushing.

- keep a distance from dryer's heat. When using blow dryers, always keep the heat a good distance from your scalp and hair. Avoid heating the scalp and hair excessively. Excessive heat will increase hair loss, and excess fallout.

- Avoid getting hair creams, lotions, styling gels and sprays directly on the scalp as they will clog your hair follicles. Use a light hold spray if you must.

- After swimming in a pool, shampoo your hair as soon as possible to remove any chlorine residue. Chlorine is extremely damaging to the hair and scalp.

- Avoid over-exposing your hair and scalp to the wind and sun. Good hair care over a long period really makes a difference!

- Avoid tight hats and caps as they contribute to poor circulation, depriving the hair of proper nutrition and stunting new hair growth. The sweat, dirt and grime around the rim inhibit follicle health and contribute to build-up.

- Always consult your health care provider for extreme causes of excess fallout and thinning. A medical condition or medication could be causing hair loss side-effects.

- Strive for balance and harmony in both your personal and professional lifestyle. High stress factors can cause your body to react by fluctuating hormone levels. This in turn causes excessive oil secretion (sebum) which results in hair loss.

- Pregnancy, nursing, menopause, and even birth control medication can cause constant changing factors on your nutritional needs and hormonal levels which contribute to hair loss and excess fallout.

- Avoid "crash and fad" diets. Proper nutritious meals along with vitamin and mineral supplements are a key factor for healthy hair and skin.

- Good hair care starts with awareness. These hair care tips, if followed consistently, will reduce excess fallout, hair loss, and promote new hair growth.

- Reduce hair loss effects by increasing your intake of vitamin C found in fresh fruits and vegetables, particularly citrus fruit and juices, parsley, broccoli, green peppers and black currants. Take a vitamin B complex everyday or brewers yeast. Increase your intake of protein found in meat, fish, liver, wheat germ, dried cooked beans and peas, tofu, cheese, milk and eggs.

- Take dietary supplements such as Vitamin B6, zinc %26amp; saw palmetto. Supplements are useful when you can't get enough from natural food sources.

- The Chinese believe that hair is nourished by the blood, and therefore influenced by the kidney %26amp; liver. Treatment is aimed at these organs using fleece flower root, wolfberry fruit or mulberry fruit.

- Eliminate stress or else it can be disastrous to your precious hair!

- Get enough sleep. Sleeping well is essential for the health of your hair as well as for the rest of your body.

There are ways you can help stop the grease from appearing but you have to work at it.

Do not wash everyday. The cleaner your hair is the more it can seep into your glands and harder it is to get rid of. When you do wash make sure you are washing with a cleaning shampoo and scrubbing the build up off. Take in mind that you also have to have a ph-balanced mild shampoo and lite scrubbing is recommended. Try to avoid conditioner at the roots, apply in the middle or on the ends.

Try to avoid oil in your daily food intake. And do eat more vegetables. You could visit your doctor but only after you check and consider your diet, drugs, alcohol, and your fatty food intake. Let's face it we see what McDonalds can do to your heart in a month, can you image your hair. You would be dripping everywhere.

Maybe it's time to change your shampoo. Ask your stylist what she or he would recommend. Avoid using shine products at all costs. Keep away from two-in-one shampoos and conditioners and any frizz serums.

To fix at the moment, rub a little Talcum Powder on your dried hair at the roots. Just make sure you wash it out. I wish they would event that magic product, but this will help until they do.

Here are 10 tips for to keep your hair strong, smooth, shiny and beautiful!

1. Keep your diet balanced, and eat protein and calcium rich foods. Stay away from junk foods! This is essential for healthy hair.

2. Foods and supplements to nourish your hair:

* Beans

* Yogurt

* Almonds

* Vitamin B

* Fish

* And of course, the magic potion for beauty - WATER

3. Before washing your hair, comb it well to make sure all knots has been loosened from your hair.

4. Before applying shampoo, use warm water (35 to 38 degrees Celsius) to run through your hair to rinse and wet it thoroughly.

5. When applying shampoo or conditioner, don't use your fingernails to scrape through your hair. Instead, use your palm and fingertips to massage your scalp and hair gently, in circular motions. This will help the circulation and also help to keep your hair shiny and smooth.

6. After rinsing away all the shampoo, run water over your hair for at least another half a minute (3 minutes is best) to ensure there are no remains of shampoo remaining in your hair, since this will cause a great deal of damage to your scalp.

7. When applying hair treatment products, do so just after you have washed your hair, so that your hair can absorb all the good stuff while it is half wet. This will be the best time for it to absorb nourishment.

8. NEVER go to bed with your hair wet! Hair that is half wet is most easily broken, and if you sleep during this time, your hair will be rubbing against each other, damaging your hair in the most terrible way.

9. Too much pressure may lead to hair loss! Relax... try some good relaxation methods such as soaking in a nice scented bath, listening to music, and eating healthy comfort foods such as strawberries and grapes.

10. Perming and coloring seriously damages your hair. Avoid it as much as possible. Also, when using hair setting products such as gel or putty, use as little as possible, because they hurt your scalp and hair. Wash them out thoroughly afterwards with a shampoo specially created for removing styling products.

Thick, Curly hair... how to grow faster?

MISS UK! Big up I am UK too! Well I am growing my hair too (as always :-) and I found that when I took some hair capsules and used the phytospecific line of products my hair grew freaking fast! My hair is relaxed and I leave it as long as possible b4 I relax again sometimes a few months so when I redid my hair it was much longer and thicker. Hmm now the capsules were from the phyto that I bought from musthave.co.uk the only downside is that their products are EXPENSIVE but I like to pamper my hair so for me its worth it.

Someone once said they started taking multivitimins and excersising in the morning and their hair grew quickly I guess it depends on the individual.

Now, I suggest making sure you always condition ur hair after wahing and a deep conditioner every two weeks or so. The phytospecific vital force shampoo and cream bath = AMAZING the shampoo makes my hair feel really soft my tons of roots and relaxed hair. You can read reveiws about their stuff on amazon.com or hairboutique.com, I did I always research things thouroughly b4 I try sumthing new.

Next up trim of ur split ends they will ruin ur hair and split right up the shaft and then the hair is of no use. U can trim it urself I do (hairdressers wanna take off too much!)

And lastly make sure you put enough moisture in ur hair, buy a moisture balm or lotion whatevers good for you. And also use silk or satin scarf to tie ur hed at night so that friction from pillows doesnt rub ur hair and make it break. Hope I was helpful and by the way my hair is past my shoulders to my back and quite thick.

Peace

Thick, Curly hair... how to grow faster?

this may sound wierd, but i had the same problem...'bout a month ago. i have naturally wavy hair and wanted it to grow long so i wouldn't cut it AT ALL! my hairstyleist told my that you need to cut off your split ends. that means you need to cut half an inch (yur split ends) off so that your hair will grow. now my hair is growing really fast and i have been cutting my split ends off!

i PROMISE YOU! this will work!

I have thick course hair shaving doesnt work what should i use?

Well what area are you talking about? Neck? Bikini? what? What about waxing? Or an Epilady. I have an Epilady but they are very painful until you get use to it. It's kind of like waxing in the fact that it rips the hair right off of you. Only less mess.

I have thick course hair shaving doesnt work what should i use?

Maybe you could try using the Nairs! Or trim alittle bit before shaving.

I have thick course hair shaving doesnt work what should i use?

Soleil razors work relly well you can find them at wal mart or any other drug store.

I have thick course hair shaving doesnt work what should i use?

waxing

I have thick course hair shaving doesnt work what should i use?

My guy uses this product called Magic Powder, you can get it at Walgreens. You mix it with water and put it on, let it sit for 5 minutes or so, and 'scrape' it off with an old credit card. According to him it works great, is gentle, and last about 3 days. Sounds like a winner to me!Try it, good luck....

Do eggs help to make your hair thick?if yes pls tell me how to apply it?

Cook eggs. Eat. To apply them TO your hair is just nonsense. Extra protein in diet may improve hair strength.

Do eggs help to make your hair thick?if yes pls tell me how to apply it?

That's the stupidest question I've ever heard in my life!!! What's wrong with your hair? It's too thin?

Do eggs help to make your hair thick?if yes pls tell me how to apply it?

Protein? It doesn't make it thicker..it just gives it more body.

Just rub egg in your hair before you wash it.

Do eggs help to make your hair thick?if yes pls tell me how to apply it?

Nothing you apply topically is going to thicken your hair. Hair thickness is determined by genetics. :(

Do eggs help to make your hair thick?if yes pls tell me how to apply it?

yup!I used to use that and mayo on my hair.just put it on yours while you are in the shower minus the yolk.

Do eggs help to make your hair thick?if yes pls tell me how to apply it?

use costco shampoo, im a guy but costco shampoo pwns, my hair is longish and its is soft and pimp

Do eggs help to make your hair thick?if yes pls tell me how to apply it?

If you find out that is true then let me know.

Do eggs help to make your hair thick?if yes pls tell me how to apply it?

Overnight egg shampoo.

You take three eggs, stir them in a bowl...mix up the yolk and white like you're gonna make scrambled eggs.

Then you "shampoo" it into your hair. Really squish it in there well.

Put on a shower cap. Sleep.

If the egg isn't visibly yellow, just go about your routine the next day. Comb it like mousse, it will add body.

Do eggs help to make your hair thick?if yes pls tell me how to apply it?

Put eggs in a bowl like you were going to scramble them and pour it over your wet head like a rinse. I think it makes it shine....I do not know about thicker.

Also heard the same thing about rinsing it with beer.....try that.

If any of this worked though there would be no bald guys.

Do eggs help to make your hair thick?if yes pls tell me how to apply it?

Yeah, pour them over your head and then use hot water LOL.

Do eggs help to make your hair thick?if yes pls tell me how to apply it?

I never heard that eggs would make your hair thicker. Why don't you try some styling products for thickness and volume.

Do eggs help to make your hair thick?if yes pls tell me how to apply it?

no it will not make your hair thicker but it will make it softer and shiner. I've used it before and it gives you a great shine, just beat two eggs together and take the mixture and apply it to clean, dry hair and wrap you hair in plastic wrap and then wrap a warm towel around it, leave it on for 20 minutes and wash it out using shampoo and style as usual.

Do eggs help to make your hair thick?if yes pls tell me how to apply it?

You mean adding volume to your hair right? Well, the beer recipe here does it: http://beauty-tricks.com/index.php?optio...

I have thick curly hair... i want to get it cut but im not sure how... any sugestions?

if your curly hair is long you should have some layers to reduce the bulk.ask your stylist to avoid short layers, but rather to "slide cut" long layers.if you trust your stylist ask them to recommend a hairstyle for your hair type and face shape.

I have thick curly hair... i want to get it cut but im not sure how... any sugestions?

Are you a boy or a girl?

Ok...girl. I also have thick curly hair. I cut mines in layers...my hair is a little longer than my sholders so it looks very well. Yeah, I know sounds dumb, but looks good.

Girls wit really really thick curly hair i have a question?

Probably like two hours or something. And it takes forever when I blow dry it.

Girls wit really really thick curly hair i have a question?

How do you straighten LONG THICK CURLY hair quick?

it takes like 1 hour and the head is

FRIZZ FRANY

How do you straighten LONG THICK CURLY hair quick?

- Go curly! Read the book and visit the sites below about curly hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now virtually frizz-free ringlets. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your curly hair- be happy for life!

- To style your hair using the curly-girl method you will need gel and conditioner at the minimum. Some less useful, but still nice stuff would be a blowdryer, a diffuser (reduces frizz in curly/wavy hair when used with dryer), and a microfiber hair turban (to dry wet hair while sleeping or in the morning).

-The main philosophy of the curly-girl method is to not use shampoo. This may sound unhygenic but it has actually made my hair less oily and dandruffy. Most shampoos contain some of the same chemicals found in laundry detergent (aka sulfates). They dry out curly hair. Also you shouldn't brush your curly hair dry because it damages the hair and makes it poof.

- Massaging of the scalp with conditioner to remove dirt is all that is needed. It will clean everything but super clingy silicones (so only use amodimenthicone and ones w/ PEG in front of it) . Then rinse and spread conditioner on the outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse. Do not brush/comb your hair after this point because it wil disturb the curl pattern (make sure you already have a part). It is also important to use gel on sopping wet hair and scrunch the hair. Then let your hair air dry or use a blowdryer with a diffuser. Do not touch the hair while it is drying or it will frizz!

- Use a moisturizing conditioner, such as Aussie Moist Conditioner. The combo of products that I use daily is Garnier Fuctis Sleek and Shine Leave In Cream, LA Looks Sports Gel, and Aussie Tizz No Frizz Gel, but there are more conditioners, gels, etc. on the websites.

- Your hair may seem worse at first, but it is just adjusting. This takes 2 to 4 weeks begin working. This is hard to do if you don't read the book, or at least visit the websites. Naturally curly hair can be beautiful! Hope this helps!

How do you straighten LONG THICK CURLY hair quick?

you really do your research Report It

How do you straighten LONG THICK CURLY hair quick?

i had long thick curly hair as well..but i rebonded it.. however do make sure if you rebong ur hair you treat it will with good masks and conditioners as it can get dry and make sure you touch up the roots every few months.. straightening is the only quick way.. the other option is of course using s straightening iron but like u said it takes too long

How do you straighten LONG THICK CURLY hair quick?

I don't know about quick, but the best way I know of is to get a ceramic-plated straightener. Gold plates are best. It should cost you a bit if it's a good one. You can always try washing it and straightening it the night beforehand to save some time. There's no easy way to straighten curls quickly.

How do you straighten LONG THICK CURLY hair quick?

a hot comb or flat iron or a perm with takes about half and hour

How do you straighten LONG THICK CURLY hair quick?

You can go to walmart or a beauty supply store and pick up an Andis hair straightener iron. It is easy to use and do not cost that much money. I use it instead of a straightening comb.

How do you straighten LONG THICK CURLY hair quick?

I dunno, but there are some good ideas given

How do you straighten LONG THICK CURLY hair quick?

there really isnt a quick way.. mine is barely wavy and still takes me an hour to get it really straight and my hair is kinda shoulder length. u shud go to the salon

How can i make my hair thin? its so thick! I was born with thick wavy hair?

As someone else has said get the hair dresser to thin you hair. Its some cutting technique that they use.

I have cut really thick hair as well, and its short. If i don't get it thinned i end up with this massive 'birds nest' or thats what i call it.

How can i make my hair thin? its so thick! I was born with thick wavy hair?

go to a salon and ask them to thin it out.

How can i make my hair thin? its so thick! I was born with thick wavy hair?

2 on going to salon %26amp; asking them to thin it out. i have thick hair and get layers, but I get a razor cut (instead of scissors). Works for me.

How can i make my hair thin? its so thick! I was born with thick wavy hair?

layer it, thin it, but wavy is nice right? keep it long and blow dry it

How can i make my hair thin? its so thick! I was born with thick wavy hair?

haha thats funny because lots of people with thin hair want thick hair. God never makes people happy, does He?

I would say use some serum, a silicone-based product like John Frieda. Run it through your hair and use lots of conditioner when you shower.

then blowdry it until it's completely dry. If you still need to flatten it a bit, then use a straight iron to go over individual pieces. Especially straighten from the root of your hair, at the crown, that will make your hair look thinner and less puffy. I have the same thick hair so i know, but people are always saying its beautiful like horse hair so you probably have hair like mine.

also like they said, the stylist can thin it out for you, but watch out because if your hair is anything like mine, it will look good for a week, but then all the thinning will make your hair frizz out majorly. Just don't do it okay, believe me. You should probably try to make it all one length. Layers will only make you look poofier.

How can i make my hair thin? its so thick! I was born with thick wavy hair?

I also have really thick hair which I hate. I always ask my stylist to thin it out and I have a lot of layers. My hair is still not anywhere near thin but it definately helps.

How can i make my hair thin? its so thick! I was born with thick wavy hair?

Okay, same as everyone else said, get it thinned! But, you may want to try a dehumidifying creme, which will make your hair smoother and less puffy/frizzy. Have you used a straightener?? (Flat iron) I have thick wavy hair and straighteners work wonders for me!

I just checked back and saw another post.. DON'T blow dry!!! That makes your hair worse, plus it damages it! And don't use serums or oils, use a cream based product!

How can i make my hair thin? its so thick! I was born with thick wavy hair?

I have thick hair too, and I have a lot of it so it was even worse. What I do is I ask my hair stylist to thin out my hair and layer it. It'll feel way lighter and look nicer too. I also thermal ironed (permenately straightened) my hair about two years ago. The chemicals are all probably gone, but it's still not as poofy as before I got it done. I wouldn't suggest you do this though since you have wavy hair, so maybe you should use a curl enhancer, and you can find those at drugstores.

Anyway, I hope I helped!

How can i make my hair thin? its so thick! I was born with thick wavy hair?

use sava its thins it

How Do You Crunch/Curl My THICK Damage Hair?

Ok. My hair as of now is layerd (in the front), pretty damaged from all the bleach I put in it. I have stuff that's "reconstructing" it so it's a lot better than it was before.

But I need to find away to get it to go curly/crunchy and hold for longer than an hour. Like a whole day. And I need to do this without using heat, because again, my hair is damage and my hair stylist told me not to use heat...unless VERY special and RARE occassions. And yeah.

So please any good advice is wanted and needed. Thanks a bunch.

How Do You Crunch/Curl My THICK Damage Hair?

use gel or hairspray and crunch it with your hands while your hair is still damp

How Do You Crunch/Curl My THICK Damage Hair?

When your hair is extremely damages it loses it's elasticity and naturally curly/wavy hair will a lot of times not curl as well or hold an even curl pattern so it may wave in some places and hang straight in others. The fact that your hair is also very thick tells me you have the sheer weight of your own hair working against you pulling the curl out also. It really sounds like a good healthy trim (as much as you could stand to part with) would be your best bet to get rid of those damaged parts and lighten it up as well. Good luck!

Hair: From thick and shiny to dry and falling out...?

What happened? Even though I've dyed my hair for over 10 years, I've always had beautiful hair. It even looked better after I dyed it! Now in the past 2 months, however, it's become very thin and dry. My floor is always covered in hair. It's not falling out in clumps or anything just all over. It's also not just breakage, but the whole hair %26amp; root.

5 months ago I did a cleansing water fast for 25 days so maybe my body is now reacting to that deficiency of nutrients. And I never eat a lot of meat. I know hair needs protein to grow, but it seemed to be fine all those years before without the protein. I'm much too young to lose so much hair. Anybody else experience something similar? What can I do to stop it today?

Hair: From thick and shiny to dry and falling out...?

it seems to me that its from malnutrition. i've seen people with eating disorders (not that you have one), and their hair is always dry and thin. try eating more of a balanced diet, and take a multivitamin. but if you only drank water for 25 days, i'm pretty positive that the condition of your hair is from that.

everything you put in (or dont put it) your body comes out through your hair, skin, and nails. if your hair is very dry and falling out, i'm sure that your skin and nails aren't in great condition either.

just take better care of yourself! eat a well-balanced diet, drink more water, and take your vitamins. it will take a while for your hair to get back to normal, but it will happen eventually.

in the meantime, i would suggest going to your hairdresser and asking her for some products that will help nurse your hair back to health. unfortunately, it has to happen from the inside out, so if you start eating better, the new hair growing in will be healthier, but the old hair will stay the same. there are products, though, that help infuse your hair with protein and moisture, so i would find out if your hair salon carries something like that.

good luck

Hair: From thick and shiny to dry and falling out...?

Nobody beileves it but your hair changes every 7 years i went from curly tons of hair to fine and straight im a stylist and it happens to everyone... our bodies go through hormonal changes our hair if your on any sort of medication that could do it if you think its really excessive see your doctor they can help!!

Hair: From thick and shiny to dry and falling out...?

Most likely it is a combination of factors. The dying process may have eventually taken a toll on your hair's health.

Yes, the fasting process deprived your body of nutrients and that would also affect hair health.

Even if you do not eat much meat, there are other ways to get protein in your diet. Try eating cheese, yogurt, raw nuts. If you have made dietary changes, are you getting enough "good" oils, such as olive oil, in your diet?

Nothing is going to stop it "today". The sooner you make changes in your diet and stop processing your hair, the sooner you will begin to see results.

Typically, hair grows at a rate of about 1/2 inch per month. So the hair that is 2-3 inches from your scalp is the hair that was forming during your fast.

Hair: From thick and shiny to dry and falling out...?

its probably from overproccessing it can be fine and then BAM its not so good... did you get your hair done proffesionaly or was it an at home kit and did you try a new brand if it was a salon then maybe they are using a new brand or something but yeah its most likley from the dye my hair was thick and shiny till i dyed it now its falling out just like yours..... i hate it and it is normal for hair to fall out also your hair to "change" every seven years or so...

Know any San Francisco Bay Area salons that are good for cutting/styling a teen's long thick cu

I need someone who works well with curly hair and won't cause too much pain! East Bay or SF preferred - thanks!

Know any San Francisco Bay Area salons that are good for cutting/styling a teen's long thick curly hair?

I grew up in the Bay Area %26amp; I have very long, very thick curly hair. I am now 35 years old, and what you are looking for has been a life-long quest for me! My sister used to be a model, so I had access to some of the very best hairdressers in the bay! And you know what I've found? The highest rated hairdressers are usually the worst for people with hair like ours. Why? Because the best are usually in high demand, therefore they are pressed for time. Hair like ours requires a hairdresser with patience and attention to detail.

My advice : try to find a salon that is a little quieter %26amp; slower than most (one that is not trying to match McDonald's in # of people served, if you know what I mean!). If that's not an option (or even if it is), try sitting in the waiting area and watching the stylists work. See if you can spot one who looks like they care more about the quality of the job they do than about how fast they can get through it. One last tip: when you think you've found a good one, ask them if they can thin hair using a straight edge razor.

I have thick, frizzy hair. Is there any way to get that "glossy" look without using straig

Try Aveda's new shampoo/conditioner called Smooth Infusions. It really works!!!

After washing w/ that, use a serum like Frizz Ease (little goes a long way), then blow dry and smooth over with a ceramic flat iron. Voila!

i realllly reccomend it

:] good luckk

I have thick, frizzy hair. Is there any way to get that "glossy" look without using straightening chemicals?

I'm guessing that your hair is curly, but I could be wrong. If your hair is straight, try not washing it ever day, and using biosilk, becasue it lays down frizz and don't brush your hair too often, just when slightly damp or messy. Try to get a haircut at a salon which will thin it out.

If your hair is curly, don't pay attention to that. Curly hair bends and light does not reflect off of it. There is no way to get it shiny and glossy without chemicals or heat (I advise against both). But, you can get rid of frizz. Make sure that your never, ever, ever brush your hair. Comb, only when slightly damp. Use herbal esscences curls shampoo and conditioner, and scrunching gel, as it helps lay down frizz and give you gorgeous curls. Also, go to a salon and ask for a stylist who is willing to work with curly hair, and they'll give you layers to help thin it out.

No matter what your hair type, good job on not deciding to kill your hair with chemicals. I hope I helped.

I have thick, frizzy hair. Is there any way to get that "glossy" look without using straightening chemicals?

u could try a relaxer from xenna.com. it uses no chemicals and it's all natural, and makes it look shinier.

I need Advice on my very thick and wavy/curly frizzy hair?

I've straightened it ,curled it, put it up, put in gel, mousse, smoothing serums. Just about everything you can think of for a persons hair. It's still thick, coarse, just yuk. HELP. Should I have it thinned or layered, if there are any hairdressers out there who can help me

I need Advice on my very thick and wavy/curly frizzy hair?

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Use a teaspoon of every oil and honey,.... a little more if ur hair is long or a little less if ur hair is short

Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed, fortify, reconstruct, moisturize, soften %26amp; remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!

The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower

You can also use a conditioner but get a light conditioner that wont wiegh ur hair down, becuz u can over condition, I use herbl essences "clean happy" conditioner.

You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.

Well, you should go to your hairdresser and ask them for a professional level relaxer. They can do it themselves. Its a kind of creme that stays in your hair for a few minutes to half an hour depending on how wild your hair is and it literally relaxes your hair for a few weeks. It's like sending your hair on vacation! :D

I need Advice on my very thick and wavy/curly frizzy hair?

For thick, coarse, frizzy hair, layering is the best way to go. It will remove the heaviness. Thinning isn't as good an idea. Try Herbal Essence Dangerously Straight (pin straight) in the pink bottle, both shampoo and conditioner. They were a lifesaver for me. Also use a spray-on, leave-in conditioner. If your hair tends to look a bit dry or dull, use a glossifier after drying your hair. Do not wash your hair everyday. It doesn't need it unless you're outside a lot. Find a picture in a fashion magazine of a hairstyle you like. Get a beautician to style your hair. Make sure they are skilled in cutting wavy hair. Some aren't. There are lots of hairstyle magazines in the beauty shops. Stop by one and glance through them.

I need Advice on my very thick and wavy/curly frizzy hair?

I have curly, frizzy hair. It doesn't matter what I use, it's that way. The only thing so far that helps is olive oil, the lightest color olive oil. I heat it in the microwave just until it's warm to the touch and massage a tiny amount into my scalp and then distribute it throughout my dry hair, maybe start with 2 tablespoons, that should do it. I then gather my hair into a ponytail, without putting it into a ponytail holder, lightly twist it and clip it up overnight. The next morning my hair is so soft and smooth. Still some frizz around my face but not as bad.

I need Advice on my very thick and wavy/curly frizzy hair?

I have natural curly hair-try these products, they are made for african american hair but Ilove it-smells nice too!

I need Advice on my very thick and wavy/curly frizzy hair?

my hair was the same, get your hair layered, but long layers, if you have them too short it will make your hair more frizzy, ask them to razor cut it and thin it out.

I got my hair dont not long ago and i can finally use normal hair ties!

I know how it feels to have very very thick and wavy unruly hair.

Also, Redken and matrix shampoo and conditioner are reallly good.

You can buy them from salons or stores such as priceline.

And buy a GHD hair straighter, its a life saver.
