How do you make fine hair thick?

am a 16yo male with EXTREMELY fine hair which has absolutely NO shape. Consistently makes me look like a complete tool, especially outdoors in the wind. Just want to know how to give it shape and thickness, if its possible.

How do you make fine hair thick?

You can't. Your best bet is to use thickening shampoo, the least amount of conditioner %26amp; might want to consider skipping it or just every other day (the conditioner). Always use a shampoo that is clear, any that aren't will always weigh your hair down no matter what the bottles propaganda says %26amp; definitely keep your hair short %26amp; layered. Get used to using light amounts of gel on your roots %26amp; hairspray. Too much gel will weigh you down. Your only using the gel for control %26amp; volume. The hairspray is for keeping your hair from too much damage in the wind. Though, don't get crazy with the hairspray... helmet head will be the result.

Good brands to try for shampoo, conditioner, gel %26amp; hair spray.

Nioxin - shampoo %26amp; conditioner

Loreal vive - " %26amp; "

Matrix --%26gt; great gel in the amplify line

aveda --%26gt; new mud line is supposed to add tons of volume %26amp; bulk

Rave level 4 hairspray --%26gt; little bit does the job

freeze it hairspray

Though, the #1 thing you can do is get an awesome haircut from a stylist who knows how to make the most of fine hair. If you have a bad cut for fine hair, there's almost nothing that can help it.

How do you make fine hair thick?

A product line called Nioxin but it's pretty expensive but well worth it. If you're looking for something cheaper looks for products that increase volume or thicken like pantene but pretty much any product that has biotin with thicken and strenghthen your hair. Good Luck!

Girls with thick curly hair...how often do you wash your hair?

You can't wash it every single day because thick curly hair tends to break easily and if you wash it everyday it will strip your natural oils that your hair needs. If you absolutely need to wash your hair I suggest that you wash it every other day.

And don't use hot tools too much.

Girls with thick curly hair...how often do you wash your hair?

I personally wash my hair every morning, every night...it certainly ensures long healthy hair.... :3

Girls with thick curly hair...how often do you wash your hair?

maximum twice a week

Girls with thick curly hair...how often do you wash your hair?

every day in between using shampoo 3 times a week

Girls with thick curly hair...how often do you wash your hair?

every other day

but if i work out, i usually shower that day

Girls with thick curly hair...how often do you wash your hair?

I know its not good, but i wash mine everyday with shampoo because it gets oily easilly, and condition every second day. My hair is thick and wavy though, but usually thick and curly hair gets dry more esier, so washing it often isnt the best thing for it, just constant moisturising.

I just shampoo everyday with a salon shampoo, so my scalp doesnt become to sensitive.

Girls with thick curly hair...how often do you wash your hair?

every other day cuz every day damages ur hair

Girls with thick curly hair...how often do you wash your hair?

I don't have thick curly hair, but my friend does.

She sometimes goes 5 days without washing it = /

Probably cause she straighten's it and is too lazy to do it over.

Girls with thick curly hair...how often do you wash your hair?

I have medium/thick hair. Naturally straight with some wave. I shampoo once a week. I rinse my scalp every other day and go through the motion of shampooing and then always condition my ends. When I don't rinse I use dry shampoo. Not shampooing saves SO much time on styling. I challenge whoever washes there hair once a day to skip a few and rinse instead it improves texture and natural shine. you will be amazed.

Girls with thick curly hair...how often do you wash your hair?

well my hair doesnt get oily so quickly but usually i wash it twice a week

Girls with thick curly hair...how often do you wash your hair?

i have super thick+super curly hair, and i usually wash it every other day.

if i don't it gets kinda oily, but if i do it everyday it gets dry

hope this helped!

Girls with thick curly hair...how often do you wash your hair?

I wash mine twice a day.

Hope this helped.... = )

How have other parents dealt with daughters with thick dark hair on their legs?

My daughter is 9 and recently her (already dark) hair on her legs has gotten quite course and darkened. We tried bleaching the hair but it turned red! It is still quite obvious and the poor little thing is getting teased about it at school and is quite upset.

She is at the beginning of puberty, so I want to be able to set her up with something she can maintain throughout her teen years without treating her like a teenager.

Man! I know that sounds confusing, but I don't know how else to explain it. To be honest I'm slightly freaking out! haha! She seems so young, but I was only a year older when I started menstruating!

I'm not really pro shaving at this age, and although I don't want my daughter to be hung up on outward appearances, I also don't want her to be subjected to teasing just because she is too young to shave her legs.

Anyone got some good advice for me?

How have other parents dealt with daughters with thick dark hair on their legs?

We went through this with my oldest and like you I wasn't keen on the thought of her shaving at 9 so instead we went with the Nair. I know she is young but if she is already hitting puberty then she might as well start dealing with it all from this age or as she gets older she will be left in the dark about things.

How have other parents dealt with daughters with thick dark hair on their legs?

let her shave girls are starting puberty younger and younger now a days

How have other parents dealt with daughters with thick dark hair on their legs?

i could see what you mean, the fact that we all know how it is to be teased. i know what your daughter is going through because i was teased about my arms, i am light skined with black hairs, but i just went off alone and shaved them. i dont really know what to suggest but to shave or wax? but waxing would hurt her a lot haha. i hope for the best and hopefully you could figure something out. let her knows that she's not alone. good luck!

How have other parents dealt with daughters with thick dark hair on their legs?

I have six girls, I would show her how to shave. As much as we don't want to have our babies grow up they do. I had to let my ten year old start shaving at nine because she is half Korean and her leg hair was thick and dark and she was getting made fun of at school and her self esteem was getting low. I would show her if I were you plus you get in some extra bonding time and she will feel comfortable coming to you with other questions. The reality is that it looks better and she will feel better about her self, wouldn't you. Good luck on what ever you choose because ultimately it is up to you mom:)

How have other parents dealt with daughters with thick dark hair on their legs?

Nair.

I use it myself because I hate to shave. No blades, no cuts and it's pretty good for days.

I started shaving long before my mother was ready. Puberty doesn't ask permission. Don't let her learn about menstruation, the hard way. That's embarrassing and kids can be cruel.

How have other parents dealt with daughters with thick dark hair on their legs?

Try Nair - no shaver needed. This is a much safer way for such a young girl to do her legs. And really dont worry about it coming in thicker or darker she will shave them now until she is too old to care anymore.

How have other parents dealt with daughters with thick dark hair on their legs?

She's getting made fun of, and you don't seem to give a ****. People like you disgust me. You should be shaving her legs for her and then once she's a little older you can let her start doing it herself. Act like a mother and care about your child's feelings.

How have other parents dealt with daughters with thick dark hair on their legs?

I would try waxing. If you shave it, it may get alot thicker.

How have other parents dealt with daughters with thick dark hair on their legs?

if u decide to get nair or veet get veet nair gives most people a rash and make u itch 4 hours after shaving, but u should let her shave i started when i was nine.well good luck:)

How have other parents dealt with daughters with thick dark hair on their legs?

You have to let her shave her legs. I went through the SAME thing. My daughter begged me for a long time to shave and i kept saying NO. I said she was to young. Nine at the time. Finally we sat down and she said the kids REALLY teased her at school. I went and bought her everything she needed and supervised her. She was so relieved! Unfortunately the kids are growing up faster these days so we need to "BE THERE" for our kids. Parenting is hard, i understand. Good Luck :)

How have other parents dealt with daughters with thick dark hair on their legs?

Veet/Nair causes irritation and/or doesn't take off all of the hair; so she'llbe left with some nasty patches/pieces.

Just let her shave it! Buy her Skintimate (I've been using it since I was 9, I've cut myself maybe twice), a nice razor, and teach her how to shave! She will appreciate it very much, and you'll look like the coolest mom ever to her friends ;]

How have other parents dealt with daughters with thick dark hair on their legs?

I don't understand what the big deal is about shaving. Why would you think it's fine to use chemicals on her legs but not shave them? The issue is whether she's too young to be doing that sort of personal appearance alteration, surely, not HOW she hides or gets rid of the hair?

I'd just let her (or help her) shave. Dead easy and no chemicals.

How have other parents dealt with daughters with thick dark hair on their legs?

My sister is 13, and my mom let her use the hair removal cream. Easy enough for her to do on her own, without the risk of shaving. And if it's something you're gonna let her keep up on, why worry about how it's gonna grow back in?

How have other parents dealt with daughters with thick dark hair on their legs?

If it's bothering her, get her some nair... My daughter is the same age and the legs on her hair is starting to bother her a little. I've told her when she's ready, and if its REALLY bothering her, we'll remove it. My only issue is knowing that once you start removing it, you have to keep it up! I'm teaching her how to shave her armpits today....she has a few under there too. I know exactly what you're feeling...they DO seem so young but...there it is. They're growing up on us! I know when I was growing up, my father equated leg shaving with sex. I thought it was ridiculous then and I still do now. I think how they feel about themselves is more important. Girls at this age develop at different rates and it looks like yours is just blooming a little early. Don't stress too much, I'm sure we'll have bigger things to worry about in the coming years (God help us all..lol) You should feel better knowing that you're not alone, we're all freaking out a little! Good luck :)

How have other parents dealt with daughters with thick dark hair on their legs?

I don't understand how you can be pro bleaching but not pro shaving. Bleaching (using chemicals on your skin) seems like far more a mature thing to do than shaving. I had really thick dark hair and fair skin, and my mom let me shave as soon as it became an issue for me. I want to say I was like 6 or 7 when I first started. Nine isn't too young to shave- it's not like it's really all that dangerous, and it's not like it's going to make her more promiscuous or anything. It's just getting rid of unwanted hair. It's not worth letting her get teased over when it's something she'll soon be doing anyway. Let her shave.

How have other parents dealt with daughters with thick dark hair on their legs?

If you are worried about her cutting herself get her an electric shaver. But for her self-esteem let her not be teased anymore.

How have other parents dealt with daughters with thick dark hair on their legs?

I would try the new stuff they have, not real razzers and the hair remover. That way she gets the practice without the cuts. If she's getting made fun of ten you want her to be able to feel good about herself.

How have other parents dealt with daughters with thick dark hair on their legs?

Nair and Veet are easier than shaving, but there's a huge possibility that it will irritate her skin. I used Veet for a year or so, and then one time it randomly gave me a very painful rash on my legs. Just stick to shaving and teach her how to do it correctly. Use soap and a new razor, not one that's dull.

Hi, clairol hot rollers are amazing, fast and give good results.

You will love it at first but eventually like all that stuff you'll get sick of it too.

wash and wear hair is the best! too bad it doesn't look great!

What is the best kind of rollers you can use for medium length hair, thick and naturally wavy/curly?

if you go to sally's there is every kind of roller there that you can imagine.....velcro rollers are good to use because the large ones can give you lots of body but they are really uncomfortable to sleep in....you can also use satin foam rollers and please make sure they are satin..they won't break your hair off and you can sleep on them comfortably

If there is any possibility visit a doctor and have some basic investigations done (like blood count, maybe hormonal status etc) and after that, reconsider your life style (are you stressed, are you well nourished, are under some kind of medications, etc). Only after that you can really solve your hair problem, In the meantime, you might try some forms of local therapy, use Merz Special or some vitamins, but it can only partially help without finding out the reason of hair thinning.

I have super thick frizzy hair , help??

i need help!

I have super thick frizzy hair , help??

The best thing you can do is get your hair thinned out. If you still think your hair is too thick, (don't go crazy and get it thinned out more!) get a good straightener. Make sure it is ceramic because it does the least amount of damage. I would recommend a Chi straightener. As for the frizz, hot oil treatments (available at pharmacies) are effective and so are serums. I know a brand called Anti-Frizz has a great serum.

I have super thick frizzy hair , help??

Straightner

I have super thick frizzy hair , help??

Depending upon your hair type you can get a relaxer or use some really good ceramic flat irons and some serum it will help the frizz go down

I have super thick frizzy hair , help??

Go to Sally's Beuty Salon and buy a straightner and some hair spray to keep it straight.

I have super thick frizzy hair , help??

You can get your hair thinned at a salon. And for the frizz try garnier frutis, they make a de-frizzing serum. Pantene Pro vine has a lot of really good products for frizzy hair too.

I have super thick frizzy hair , help??

straightener will work but burns hair.

oil works depending on hair type(better choice)

I have super thick frizzy hair , help??

Don't get it chemically treated, it just damages it, i know from experience!!!

Get it cut an a style that looks cute curly or wavy, then use a product for frizz control and some mousse and let it dry naturally. (I use frizz control syrum and just plain old mousse)

I also suggest you don't use a brush, it tends to make the frizz worse, try a wide-tooth comb.

I have super thick frizzy hair , help??

Try this, it should help.......

1.While your hair is still damp, work in a straightning gel such as Panteen ProV Get It Straight Gel ($3.99), through the length of your hair makeing sure to get the ends. This will keep your hair frizz free.

2. Use a blow dryer and a round brush, and start at the back of the head, takeing small sections and streatch the hair taut around the brush. Point the dryer nozzle dowward onto the hair and move the brush down the length of the hair. Repet until your hair is compleatly dry. Use clips to keep the wet hair off of the area you are working on. Also make sure there is no moisture in your hair at all as this is what causes frizz.

If you are going to use a flat iron, dry your hair compleatly! Do not put any finishing products on your hair BEFOR you flatiron your hair, it will burn it.

Take small sections, no wider then the iron, and slide it down the hair shaft, and make sure to keep it moveing!!!

Finish with a light pomade to add sheen and keep hair smooth as silk.

If your hair is chemically relaxed, do not blow dry it! Let it dry naturally! This will keep your hair in the best condition.

Also remember hair accessories are a great way to creat a fresh new look!

Good luck!

I have super thick frizzy hair , help??

I have the same problem! The best way to get it nice and smooth and straight is to use a hair straightener. It will take a little practice to get the hang of it, but trust me...its worth it!!!

How can i keep my hair thick and soft?

1. The first step to growing long, beautiful hair is by far the most important. It is absolutely non negotiable for anyone who wants healthy hair at any length, but it is also by far the hardest step you will have to follow. In order to have long healthy hair you absolutely have to start with healthy hair. You must cut off every inch that is damaged. If you are going for extreme length, from that point on you will have to treat your hair like delicate, antique lace at all times. Remember, once your hair is at your waist the ends can be as many as six years old. Your hair will go through a lot of trauma in six years no matter how careful you are with it. You *must* start out with healthy hair to have healthy hair when it's long, there's no way around it.

2. Trim your hair often. Damage to your hair will move up from the ends and the only way to stop the damage in its tracks is to remove it as soon as it happens. Trim hair a half inch every month or so (the average rate of hair growth) if you are maintaining your length. If you are actively growing your hair, trim it a half inch every three or four months. In between trims it is beneficial to sit in bright light and snip any splits off the ends of individual hairs with a good pair of hair cutting scissors that you explain to the men in your house are absolutely not to be used for anything else, especially prying off bottle caps when they can't find the bottle opener, which is of course in the drawer where it belongs if they'd just look. I digress. If you are persistent with this method, regular trims may be able to be postponed even longer. If your hair begins to show damage, it is important to trim it more often! Damaged hair doesn't grow, it breaks, and damage will only increase with time.

3. If you don't have someone you trust implicitly to trim your hair for you, find a salon that caters to long hair or at least has a long hair specialist. Remember, it is not in the best interest of most salons or stylists if you rarely make visits to their salon! If your hair is short and styled, you are always there spending money for maintenance. If your stylist tries to convince you that your long, healthy hair should be cut, run screaming from the salon immediately! Make sure that anyone whose advice you consider, be it a stylist, friend or family member, has only the best interest of YOUR acknowledged hair growth goals in mind. Otherwise smile politely and ignore every word they say. You absolutely are not too old, too thin, too short, too gray, too anything to have long hair.

4. Avoid using any heated appliances whenever possible. No blow drying, no curling irons, no hot rollers, and especially no flat irons or crimpers! If you absolutely must blow dry, do so minimally. If you must use hot rollers, use flocked or soft rollers, not spiked plastic rollers. If you insist on using curling irons, flat irons or crimpers on a daily basis, really long healthy hair isn't in your future.

5. Don't use any harsh chemicals on your hair. Definitely no perms and no peroxide! If you must color, use non peroxide color or henna (but not if you have very dry hair... henna tends to be drying but does help to "plump up" fine hair). Hair color with low peroxide is more tolerable, but using these products again and again will eventually affect the health of your hair, it is unavoidable. No perming or straightening ever for any reason. These chemicals actually break down the structure of your hair and rebuild it. Don't do it.

6. Avoid chlorine and saltwater. If you go swimming in either, shampoo your hair as soon as possible after exposure. If you are blonde, you may want to consider using a shampoo specially formulated to remove the green tinge that can come from exposing your hair to chlorine. If you swim very often, invest in a good bathing cap (and to be really kind to your hair, apply deep conditioner and take advantage of the body heat that will be generated while you're wearing it). If you spend a lot of time in the sun, use a conditioner that provides SPF protection against the sun's rays, or cover your hair with a hat or scarf.

7. Be *extremely* careful of what kind of hair jewelry you use. Never use metal barrettes (the "French" style) and absolutely NEVER use rubberbands, they will tear your hair when you try to remove them. Avoid anything that has sharp or rough edges, such as plastic combs with rough seams or hair claws with metal hinges. Never put anything in your hair that attaches with Velcro or springs. If you take anything out of your hair and hair comes out with it, don't ever put it back in your hair. Scrunchies are great, and several can be used if your hair is very long. Need I mention the most fabulous hair accessory of all? Hair sticks of course!

8. Never put your hair in any kind of style that will put undue stress on the individual hairs... no tiny braids, no extremely tight coils. If you pull all or some of your hair into a braid or a ponytail to create your hairstyle, make sure it isn't pulled tight enough to put stress on the roots of your hair. Pulling hair tight repeatedly commonly results in bald patches!

9. Avoid extreme diets. If your body isn't getting enough nutrition, neither is your hair. Even if you try to avoid fat, it's essential that you don't completely eliminate all fat from your diet. Your hair (and body) will surely suffer for it. If you tend to restrict calories then be sure to take a multivitamin (any comprehensive one will do) to make sure both your body and your hair get the daily nourishment they need.

10. Be *extremely* gentle with your hair when it is wet. Don't rub your hair vigorously with a towel, gently squeeze the towel down the length of your hair. Turbie Twists are a great alternative to twisting your hair in a standard towel (I can get all my hip-length hair into one, but just barely). NEVER brush your hair when it's wet, this is when your hair is at its most delicate. Use a very wide-tooth comb to smooth wet hair. In fact, it is best to avoid brushing your hair at all, a wide-tooth comb is always better with the exception of the next step.

11. Be very careful with what you choose to style your hair. When you use a brush, use only natural boar bristle brushes, which are useful in distributing sebum (your hair's natural protective oils) to the ends of your hair and to remove loose hairs. If your hair is so thick that a boar bristle brush won't penetrate, there are several smooth wood brushes on the market that will be kind to your hair. Using a wide-tooth comb is far less damaging but it is important to choose a comb that is molded or has smooth seams (use a bit of sand paper to smooth rough seams if necessary). Comb your hair to detangle it often throughout the day. Work in small sections, always starting close to the ends and working your way up. Knots are hard on your hair and it's best to avoid them at all costs. Tiny knots that absolutely cannot be removed by any other means should be cut from your hair, not torn. Also, nevernevernever back comb or tease your hair with a fine-tooth comb. This will destroy the healthiest of hair in a very short period of time.

12. Comb your hair to ensure all knots have been removed before shampooing. After the knots have been removed, use a boar bristle brush to remove loose hairs, which will also cut down on knotting during shampooing (not to mention keep your plumber at bay).

13. Let your hair get dirty once in awhile. That's right... permission to be lazy, what more could you ask for? Don't shampoo, spend the entire weekend in bed drinking Moet, eating chocolate covered strawberries and watching Out of Africa for the umpteenth time (live vicariously through Meryl Streep by rewinding and watching Robert Redford wash her hair a few times), all while those wonderful natural conditioning oils work their magic. Don't forget the boar bristle brush before shampooing to distribute those oils and for heaven's sake don't forget not to answer the door before shampooing for any reason! Well, unless of course you are expecting Bob to drop by.

14. Don't pile your hair on your head when you wash it, that's just asking for knots. Apply shampoo only to the roots and wash your scalp, then work the shampoo to the ends. You may find adding a bit of water to your shampoo or very quickly ducking under the shower spray after initially applying it to your hair will increase lathering significantly, making it easier to work the soap to the ends of your tresses. When you apply conditioner, work it through to the ends of your hair, smoothing and detangling gently with your fingers as you go. Continue smoothing your hair as you rinse. This will make combing your wet hair much easier.

15. If you wash your hair often or have very dry hair, you may want to consider using only conditioner to wash it on occasion. If your hair isn't very dirty the conditioner will easily rinse away surface contaminants while allowing you to avoid daily use of the harsher solvents found in shampoo.

16. Rinse your hair in as cold water as you can stand. Not only will this make the cuticle lay flat and less likely to snag and break, but by the same token you'll get the added benefit of very shiny hair that's easier to comb wet. Yes, you will get used to doing this, even in the shower, and it is wonderfully invigorating for your whole bod, not just your hair. I know, I know... I couldn't convince Hubby either, but it's true, I swear! Trust me.

17. If your hair is especially coarse, extremely curly, or if you didn't heed my stern advice in Step 1 (don't make me come over there) and your hair is damaged, you may want to consider using a leave-in conditioner in addition to a regular rinse-out conditioner (I recommend Infusium-23, but there are many good ones out there). In some cases, leave-in conditioners may replace rinse-out conditioners altogether.

18. Become familiar with the ingredients in your styling products. Once you know what affects your hair positively or detrimentally, you will be able to effectively choose products that contain ingredients that are best for your hair type. For instance, some people find that their hair does not respond well to silicone products (found in most "smoothing" or "anti frizz" products and many conditioning shampoos), if used over a long period of time. Any ingredient that ends with the suffix "cone" in the ingredient list is usually a silicone derivative and should be avoided by those sensitive to it (I am not decrying products containing silicone, only stating an example... I regularly use some products that contain small amounts of silicone with no ill effects on my own hair). Products that nourish your hair with natural ingredients that are available at most health food stores are excellent alternatives to the chemical laden, overpriced high-end lines sold in department stores and salons (I can personally recommend Nature's Gate products, of which there is a wide variety from which to choose). Either way, what matters most is to use whatever works best for your hair, not what is necessarily the hottest trendy product or for that matter, the most cost efficient product. This is one of those steps to growing long, healthy hair in which common sense plays a huge role.

19. Deep condition your hair at least monthly, even if it's in good shape this will help keep it that way. If your hair is dry or damaged, deep condition weekly. Hot oil treatments are a good alternative for very dry hair or for extra conditioning (but be forewarned, to some extent hot oil treatments will lift any non permanent color you've added). You might want to try washing and applying conditioner at night, wearing a shower cap to bed, and rinsing in the morning for a really intense conditioning treatment as well. A word to the wise... conditioning nights have been conclusively proven to be detrimental to romantic evenings with the significant other. Use this information to your own best advantage.

20. Lessen the friction on your hair whenever possible. Don't sleep with your hair loose or if you must, use a satin pillowcase. If your hair is very long and prone to getting caught in car windows, seat belts, doors, or even under your butt when you sit down, it's important to remember that all these things can cause damage to your precious locks. Wear your hair braided or in an updo hairstyle (did I already mention hairsticks?) whenever possible to avoid daily wear and tear. And we all know, no matter what promises hair product manufacturers claim, the ONLY way to fix damaged hair is to CUT IT OFF... perish the thought!

Any hair styles for blond, thick, straight hair for teens?

I'm not sure if you meant cut or style as in up do's, I think the best cut to go for is to have layers to thin out your hair a little bit and make it easier to style and give it some life as you say you have straight hair, also feathering around the face is always flattering. (fringes are also big but this depends on your face shape wether it'll suit you or not)

As for styles the french plait is big this season, the quickest way to sass up your hair is with cute grips etc. just have fun, get lots of Kirby grips and pin odd sections of hair back, that's what I call my complicated hair style to my husband, although actually its easier than trying to do something "neat" to me, sorry to go on, hope this helps a little =D

There are lots of ways to stop hair loss but the first step is to find out why you are losing it... There are lots of causes for hair loss including thyroid imbalance, hormones, stress, diet... Have you had any blood work done by a doctor? Have you made any major changes to your diet lately? Any surgery? Changed BCPs? Started new medication??

How can i stop hair loss and make my hair thick as b4? help plzz!!?

I had the same problem. My solution? I use aloe vera shampoo to make my hair thick and shiny. It also helps prevent split ends. I also take Hair, Skin, and Nails vitamins. I make sure my diet has enough protein to ensure healthy hair growth (poor nutrition also causes hair loss). After shower, when the hair is most fragile, I apply aloe vera gel and also use a leave-in conditioner so I can comb my hair easily without having to deal with tangles. The aloe vera products, by the way, are available in some beauty stores. Bottomline: try the simple remedies first before buying expensive hair restoration products. So far, the steps I've mentioned here helped and I don't have problems about clogged drains anymore, hehe :-)

Hi,

There are many hair loss products available on the internet. Unfortunately some of them are bad but there are some good ones.

I suffered from hair loss three years ago and bought a lot of treatments, over $1000 worth. Basically, I wasted my money on a lot of uneffective products before I finally found one that worked.

The hair loss treatment below is a product that an old friend recommended to me and it has really helped me.

The product shows both male and females how to strengthen, restore AND revitalize hair naturally without side effects.

Melanie has the right idea. I am 38 and I have been through this 4 different times. The first time I was taking Seldane for my allergies (it was later removed from the market). The next two times it was when my thyroid was off balance. The final time was when I was taking Zocor. The good news is my hair came back as thick as ever once my thyroid was straightened out and when I quit taking the medicine.

I have medium Length THICK Straight hair, i want a body wave... any horror stories or good stories!?

I have medium Length THICK Straight hair, i want a body wave... any horror stories or good stories!?

yeah I 've got thick hair trick is to get layers to thin it and curl it with tongs or straightener's.use slightly damp hair and put in a curl friendly moose (not to much) in each section before curling. once curled pin it to head until you finish all ,take all pins out one spray with stong hairspray and voila!

don't get one if your on your period or pregnant. the hormones play hell on your hair

go to someone reputable, not a do it yourself home kit

you don't say if your hair is color treated or not...if so, beware, you may over process.

Good luck.

I'm a 22 year old guy with extremely thick/unruly hair, even when very short. What do I do?

Is there any product that would make my hair a little easier to handle and appear a lot straighter? There's all these extremely difficult waves that just refuse to change, regardless of how much product I put in.

I'm a 22 year old guy with extremely thick/unruly hair, even when very short. What do I do?

Your best bet is to try a professional chemical relaxer. Head down to a reputable salon or beauty school and get a consultation. The stylist there can suggest the perfect methods and products. Try to find a salon that uses KMS relaxing products, they're the best!

I'm a 22 year old guy with extremely thick/unruly hair, even when very short. What do I do?

Hi I have been doing hair for 7 years. I have a brother in-law with your problem hair. Depending on what you wish your hair would do you have a couple options. If you want straighter hair you can have your hair relaxed or chemically straightened. I recommend seeing a professional, although my brother-in law now knows how to do it himself. Sally's Beauty Supply carries a few different brands($7-$15) You can do the process up to two times. depending on how straight you want it. He is really happy with his result. Good luck.

I have really thick curly hair (i'm mixed so its really thick)help on hair products?

You have the best hair! You probably don't think so. I'm Black and I have really "good" hair (whatever that means), so hopefully I can help you. I've got LOADS of advice.

It depends on how you want to wear it. If you like wearing your hair natural, that is washing it, letting it curl, and going on about your business, then you should wash your hair using a curl defining shampoo and conditioner. Matrix works best (it's in the green bottle), but it gets expensive. Ganier Fructise is good, as is Herbal Essence, and Pantene Pro-V Relaxed and natural. Whatever you get, altrenate it and another shampoo/conditioner every three months. And use a clarifying shampoo (Suave will work) once a week. Use a lightweight leave-in conditioner (Infusium works best - even though it's a little sticky when drying) on your hair followed by a lightweight moisturizer (in this case, Dove is your best option). If you have pretty defined curls, all you need is a little frizz serum and you can be on your way. If your hair and curls tend to get a tad frizzy, like mine, you can use a soft curl wax (Garnier Fructise, again) on slightly damp hair to separate the curls and get them to stay. Just a tad of the product is all you need. Sometimes I have to twist unruly curls around my fingers.

If you want really defined curls (and I only do this every so often because my hair is super thick and it takes a couple of hours), follow the above steps, but roll your hair in 1/2 inch sections on rods at night. The rods are about the thickness your pinkie. In the morning, take down the rods and go on abut your business, styling them if necessary.

If you want to wear your hair straight, wash your hair with a shampoo that takes care of frizz. Garnier Fructise has a really good product for thick, frizzy hair. It's called sleek something or another. Herbal Essence has a shampoo and conditioner for that as well. Invest in a good Ionic blowdryerw ith a diffuser - one with tourmaline if you can find it. The ions seal the hair follicles close and help rid some of the frizziness. Using a frizz serum on damp hair, blow dry your hair straight. Stay away from using any water based hair products while your hair is straight and dry - as you probably know, it causes your hair to frizz. If you can successfully straighten your hair with the hair dryer alone, use an oil based product (Optimum will work) to leave hair shiny and resistant to moisture. Only a little, though. You don't want your hair to be greasy. If blow drying alone won't do the trick, flat iron your blowdried hair in 1 inch sections. Again, use a tourmaline or ceramic flat iron. They aren't as bad as metal ones, as far as heat damage is concerned. Don't do this too

often. The heat damage can cause hair to break over prolonged periods of time. If that still doesn't work, you might have to get some to press your hair.

Hope I've helped.

I have really thick curly hair (i'm mixed so its really thick)help on hair products?

What should i do to make my hair thick?

I use VO5 extra body shampoo and conditioner... my number one favorite! It's a dollar a bottle, which is kind of funny - I'm totally willing to pay $10 for shampoo, and I have, and tried EVERYTHING, and... I love VO5.

I don't know if it will work for you, but give it a try! I've got waist-length hair, and hair that long looks bad flat. A lot of shampoos do that to it, but - with this stuff I get lots of waves and curls and nice, full, bouncy hair.

Sorry, I sound like a commercial :p But I REALLY love that stuff. Not sure how it works on guys - anyway, good luck!

What should i do to make my hair thick?

Well, it won't thicken it like sprays or Rogaine - your actual hairs will stay the same - but it helps the hairs not lie flat against each other - I guess it adds body rather than thickness. Cheers! Report It

I have thick curly hair what are some good hair styles i can do with it?

Try spraying a spray gel on your hair while it is still damp, after you have combed it. (I recommend Fructis Psssht Gel). Turn your head upside down and scrunch, then flip your head bad rightside up and scrunch again. Run your fingers through your hair and spritz with a leave in conditioner to keep away the frizzies. Let it air dry and you'll be left with a sexy, rolled-out-of-bed style.

What is a good way of styling long, thick, curly hair?

Is it possible to have a fringe and not look silly with curly hair?

What is a good way of styling long, thick, curly hair?

A nice bun or a messy up-do would look nice. Straighten it once every couple of weeks for something fancy. I wouldn't recommend a fringe, that would look ridiculous. Wearing it naturally curly with a clip in the back or a nice headband would look great too.

Check out the book 'Curly Girl' by Lorraine Massey!

Have a look at Katie Melua (sorry if I've spelt that wrong!) She has shoulder length curly hair, and appears to use styling tongs, mouse, wax to define her curls. You could try using rollers, by washing your hair, scrunching in a blob of curling mouse (try VO5) and sectioning equal amounts of hair to role. Then allow to dry naturally before fully drying with a hairdryer, then on the cold setting for a fixing blast; then take the rolers out and you should have lovely define curls :) They will fall into place gradually, and you can fix with hairspray and define with wax.

dont think a fringe would like nice if u have curly hair.sometimes its nice to wear out esp if ur curls are tight,i think that looks cool. a messy sorta bun would look good too ... =]

What is a good way of styling long, thick, curly hair?

you could throw it into a clip, people with naturally curly hair always try and change it. half up styles usually look great.

If it is ginger - wear a wig.

Ah the problem of thick hair. I can relate. What I sometimes do is take two pony tail holders and pull the sides up as evenly as possible and have two minature pony tails on the top of my head just enough to get the hair out of my face, so I don't overheat, while letting the rest hang down to cover my ears for the winter weather. Hope this makes sense.

Any suggestions for super thick curly hair???

any styling tips and products that won't make my hair super big??

Any suggestions for super thick curly hair???

Leave-in conditioner! If you have the Body Shop near you, pick up Amlika leave-in conditioner. I find it's the best. Also, you can't go wrong with a bit of gel when your hair's still wet. There are curl enhancing products that might be worth a try. I think it's best to just accept the curl instead of trying to fight it. Straightening it every once in a while is a nice change, but curls can be beautiful. You should try to let your hair dry naturally, blow-drying usually makes any type of hair bigger/bushier. Also, I once saw a trick where after putting some gel in the wet hair you take your hair in strips and just twist them around your fingers and leave them to dry separated like that. It helps define the curls.

Here's the Body Shop website, you can even order the conditioner online: http://www.thebodyshop.com/bodyshop/brow...

Ionic straightening that you get done at a salon. It's expensive but it works beautifully. I used to have thick, curly, frizzy hair and I dreaded humidity. After this process, I have straight, thick, silky hair. The treatment is permanent and has to be touched up as new hair grows in. Make sure you go to a salon that has experience with ionic straightening. If/when you go to have it done, it takes 4-5 hours. Good luck!

I have extremly thick, curly, hair. I would like to get my thinned, will this result to frizzy hair?

My hair is extremly thick, thicker then most people and i have my whole hair with curly locks. My hair is pretty long, [so you get a better feel of the length, if you hold down the curls so its almost fully striaght, it goes just below my chest if you take a front piece. If i manage my hair good with products, do you think it'll get frizzier?

I have extremly thick, curly, hair. I would like to get my thinned, will this result to frizzy hair?

It shouldn't make your hair frizzy. I got my hair thinned because i had thick curly hair too. I think its a good idea if your hair is a little unmanageable. Just make sure the hair salon knows what they're doing, and don't let them thin it too much, you can always go back. But if its too thin, then it looks like your loosing your hair.

I have extremly thick, curly, hair. I would like to get my thinned, will this result to frizzy hair?

get your hair cut in layers it'll feel less thick

I have extremly thick, curly, hair. I would like to get my thinned, will this result to frizzy hair?

It could get frizzy if you want it frizzy use some of the frizzy products. If you don't want it frizzy use frizzy free products.

I have extremly thick, curly, hair. I would like to get my thinned, will this result to frizzy hair?

people with curly hair usually have thick hair.

enjoy it.. don't mess with something perfect...

why folks want straight hair is beyond me.

I have extremly thick, curly, hair. I would like to get my thinned, will this result to frizzy hair?

I have the same type of hair as you and when I got mine thinned out it didnt get any frizzier...it actualyl got less frizzy. However, make sure if your going to get it thinnied out that its done at a good hair salon and that you get some kind of consultation first (to make sure your hair is healthy)so that no mistakes are made.

I have extremly thick, curly, hair. I would like to get my thinned, will this result to frizzy hair?

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Use a teaspoon of every oil and honey,.... a little more if ur hair is long or a little less if ur hair is short

Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed, fortify, reconstruct, moisturize, soften %26amp; remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!

The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower

You can also use a conditioner but get a light conditioner that wont wiegh ur hair down, becuz u can over condition, I use herbl essences "clean happy" conditioner.

When I do this at nite, I wake up, shampoo %26amp; condition, rinse and style as usual. Has worked for years

You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.

If I thinn out my hair it wil it grow thick again?

If i razor my hair cuz its really thick will it become thick again after awhile?

If I thinn out my hair it wil it grow thick again?

Its not that your hair that was cut with a razor becomes thick again... Its the new hair that grows that will be the same thickness, color, texture ect. Think of it as cutting your nails...if you thin them out, they will just grow back the same way.

If I thinn out my hair it wil it grow thick again?

yes

If I thinn out my hair it wil it grow thick again?

i get my hair thinned a lot because its so thick, and it grows back thick soon afterwards everytime {like 2 or 3 months- but that may take longer or shorter for you, depending on how long it takes your hair to grow} but most definately get it done by a pro

If I thinn out my hair it wil it grow thick again?

Yes it will, it may grow back even thicker than it was before. Try having it thined, it will be much better, and more managable.

If I thinn out my hair it wil it grow thick again?

of course it will!

"thinning" out your hair is only cutting out some of the middle sections of your hair so you get a lighter load on your head. but like all hair, they will grow back!

I have thick curly hair . what should i use to keep it form getting poofy?

please give me the name of the product.

I have thick curly hair . what should i use to keep it form getting poofy?

Garnier Fructis Sleek Shine use the whole line. Can be purchased at either Walmart, Target, or K-Mart or someplace like that. I have the same type of hair and when I wash an go; not one frizz even in the month of August and I live in Orlando which equals mega humidity.

I have thick curly hair . what should i use to keep it form getting poofy?

Sunsilk works very well. I love it! The kind in the blue bottle is for hair with, well, that kind of problem. =]

Hope that helps!

I have thick curly hair . what should i use to keep it form getting poofy?

John Frieda's "Frizz Ease" shampoo and conditioner and straigtening serum. It's not terribly expensive ( I get mine at grocery stores and drug stores) and it lasts a long time because you only have to use alittle. I have had "bad" hair all my life until i started using this...PLEASE try it! I promise it works, I've tried everything else..good luck!

I have thick curly hair . what should i use to keep it form getting poofy?

you can use herbal essence mousse called curls control. that really helps.... you can use it by itself or with hairspray. i have been using it by itself and it works great, it makes it hard but when u wet your hair again it is very soft so its easy to style again without having to wash your hair. give it a try!

I have thick course hair shaving doesnt work what should i use?

Well what area are you talking about? Neck? Bikini? what? What about waxing? Or an Epilady. I have an Epilady but they are very painful until you get use to it. It's kind of like waxing in the fact that it rips the hair right off of you. Only less mess.

I have thick course hair shaving doesnt work what should i use?

Maybe you could try using the Nairs! Or trim alittle bit before shaving.

I have thick course hair shaving doesnt work what should i use?

Soleil razors work relly well you can find them at wal mart or any other drug store.

My guy uses this product called Magic Powder, you can get it at Walgreens. You mix it with water and put it on, let it sit for 5 minutes or so, and 'scrape' it off with an old credit card. According to him it works great, is gentle, and last about 3 days. Sounds like a winner to me!Try it, good luck....

Know any San Francisco Bay Area salons that are good for cutting/styling a teen's long thick cu

I need someone who works well with curly hair and won't cause too much pain! East Bay or SF preferred - thanks!

Know any San Francisco Bay Area salons that are good for cutting/styling a teen's long thick curly hair?

I grew up in the Bay Area %26amp; I have very long, very thick curly hair. I am now 35 years old, and what you are looking for has been a life-long quest for me! My sister used to be a model, so I had access to some of the very best hairdressers in the bay! And you know what I've found? The highest rated hairdressers are usually the worst for people with hair like ours. Why? Because the best are usually in high demand, therefore they are pressed for time. Hair like ours requires a hairdresser with patience and attention to detail.

My advice : try to find a salon that is a little quieter %26amp; slower than most (one that is not trying to match McDonald's in # of people served, if you know what I mean!). If that's not an option (or even if it is), try sitting in the waiting area and watching the stylists work. See if you can spot one who looks like they care more about the quality of the job they do than about how fast they can get through it. One last tip: when you think you've found a good one, ask them if they can thin hair using a straight edge razor.

Am 26 year old , please advice any madicine to grow my faical hair thick?

There is no such medicine. Some men of Asian, Latin or Native American descent have sparse hair growth on the face. It's genetic, it's normal, and it can't (and doesn't need to be) "fixed." A lot of women find it very attractive.

I have thick poofy frizzy wavy hair.... I want to look different when I get back to school...HELP!!?

My hair is always great when I get out of the shower put after about an hour of being outside it get's really thick and poffy and frizzy One of my friends told me I shoul get it thinned out but thats what groomers do to dog and cats so they don't shed.. I think thats weird so thinning is not an option for me what can I do to make my hair not that poofy and frizzy during school. Also what cut should get.. if you could provide a link that would be great. My hair is dirty blonde its right past my chest and it's parted in the middle right now but sometimes parted on the side. THNKS A ZILLION

I have thick poofy frizzy wavy hair.... I want to look different when I get back to school...HELP!!?

put hair serum in your head... john frieda works the best. then wait a little bit before blow drying it. this works for me alot then you can straighten it after that. Or you could get it chemically relaxed if its that serious. The last solution is to scrunch it by buying a defuser for your blow dryer and put hair products like gel, mouse, %26amp; hairspray to keep i like that.

I have thick poofy frizzy wavy hair.... I want to look different when I get back to school...HELP!!?

Straighten it!! That's the solution to all cases of curly/wavy hair.

I have thick poofy frizzy wavy hair.... I want to look different when I get back to school...HELP!!?

why don't you get one of the hair steamers and one of those hair presser that will surely make your hair less puffy.

I have thick poofy frizzy wavy hair.... I want to look different when I get back to school...HELP!!?

You and I have the same type of hair: dirty blonde, poofy, frizzy. Maybe I can help...

My hair was very poofy/frizzy up until 8th grade. I figured out that my hair is normally poofy because I brush my hair (especially when it is dry) and use a hair dryer. Any kind of heat normally (but not always) causes hair to get poofy/frizzy. My hair hasn't been frizzy since then.

Also, I use a hair straightener (not very often though) on special occasions. My hair is not frizzy then, and it looks very good, although once my hair gets wet (and i mean more than a few drops of rain), my hair is once again curly. I use a heat protectant in my hair a lot! (Hey, I live in Florida...very hot all the time.) Heat protectant is very good to use, especially with a hair straightener or blow dryer.

As a final note, it helps to use anti-frizz control hair products (usually in the form of a spray or gel), or just any gel at all. Try John Freida Frizz-Ease line.

Hope this helps!

Whats a product that can reduce how thick my hair is?(make it thin)?

I straighten my hair everyday and i've tried all the straighting shampoos but none of them seem to work. I need a shampoo that somebody knows works. That can thin out my hair.

Whats a product that can reduce how thick my hair is?(make it thin)?

Go to a hair stylist and have her/him thin it out. I've had this done and it helps. I can't think of any product that will thin your hair without making you lose too much of it.

How can i keep my hair thick and full and keep a nice hairline?? (i am Black/Hispanic)?

To keep a nice hairline make sure that when you put your hair up you dont pull it so tight till your skin strecthes that gonna cause the hairs to pull and break off. To keep thick nice hair make sure you keep it clean and put grease in it like just for me hair grease this will keep your hair from drying out. Also make sure you deep condition it once a month to prevent unneccessary breakage.

Girls adore me a lot. I've had sex with both boys and girls. And my penis is as big as my brother's ( who's 23 years old).. I masturbated with my brother.. iS that a prbolem?

I'm 13. My pubic hair is thick as a 20y.old man has. I have a hair on my underarm and it is thick as a 25y.o.?

1.) Sex at 13 is bad....even if your an early bloomer for puberty...its just wrong. Especially with people of the same gender...

2.) Younger people need to stop lying about how their penis is 8 inches long. It has been proven that the average ADULT MAN has a penis 7-9 inches long, fully erected. So if its 8 inches, your measuring from your scrotum to the tip; thats the wrong way. You measure from the base of the shaft to the tip.

3.) Otherwise...about pubes and armpit hair, your just an early bloomer for puberty.

I'm 13. My pubic hair is thick as a 20y.old man has. I have a hair on my underarm and it is thick as a 25y.o.?

Many problems...you shouldn't masturbate w/ your brother, you shouldn't have sex, idc what gender it's with. And...well you are thirteen SEX IS BAD!!! for you!!

My hair is really thick?

I see why your mom won't let you get highlights. You have a nice natural color. =) As for thick hair, I have thick hair too...when I get my haircut I ask the stylist to thin it out a bit and I get long layers. It helps and makes all the difference in the thickness. =)

My hair is really thick?

you can get it cut in layers so that it does not seem so thick, just tell the stylist

My hair is really thick?

i would say ovalish or triangle kinda but u could layer it or get some bangs just for a change

My hair is really thick?

its not that thick...it looks nice how its not so thin...u should try hair styles , braids and all kinds of things not just letting it down all the time

My hair is really thick?

Maybe try scrunching it? If you don't want it so thick you can get a bunch of layers or maybe get it thinned?I can't really tell yr face shape becuz none of the pictures are straight on.. You can also straighten it or curl it for something different

My hair is really thick?

straighten it using one of the best straightening irons, the "CHI", it's the best and doesn't take long to get the job done. Only thing they start off at $80-90 for the little ones. A lil high for flat iron, but hey do fix it if something happens. 閳?Hope it helps!

My hair is really thick?

It doesn't look very thick- but to make sure you will be happy with the hairstyle you ultimately choose, check with a stylist- usually they are professionals at determining a style that will look good for your face and can give you some ideas before you decide on a particular one. I am not a stylist, but I think bangs would look good on you (if your mom will let you cut it a little).

There are also some websites that will let you download your picture and you can put hairstyles on your photo to see how they will look.

Also- I can't tell the shape of your face because in all the pictures you're kind of turned to the side. Sorry !

My hair is really thick?

You could have some long layers put in at the ends and maybe angle it at the bottom around your face. This would only be a small change. It would hang much nicer and you wouldn't lose any of your length. My daughter did this to her hair which was all one length and what an improvement. I'm not sure about the shape of your face, but long straight hair looks good on you.
